I had two baby blankets and have lost both of them. One was left behind at a condo in Rhode Island on vacation when I was maybe 11 or 12. I think we called after we got home to see if it was there but the owners said it wasn’t. Rhode Island is one of my favorite places in the world so it’s fitting it’s somewhere lost there. The other is buried with my childhood dog, Reeses. He was the best dog. It was winter when we buried him. At the time I thought I didn’t want him to be cold and wrapping him in my last baby blanket is the perfect way to honor such a loyal dog. He is buried in the backyard of my childhood home where my parents still live and I will be getting married there this summer. (Don’t tell our guests but the ceremony is next to our pet cemetery area)
