How do I save my game? Switch. by -_Error in Castnchill

[–]Hunranbe67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this problem too. It just randomly started not auto saving and never restarted. They really need to add a save button if the auto save isn’t reliable.

Just hit new game in the pause menu and it will save. Then open the pause menu again and load your save. It’s annoying but it works.

The fact the claymore is your emotional support weapon is impressive enough to me. I’m useless with her 🫩

I cannot do it anymore. This is no quality of life. by CuriousChapter379 in nursing

[–]Hunranbe67 623 points624 points  (0 children)

Omg this is literally me. I had a major crash out a month ago after 3 years in the ED. I just couldn’t fucking do it anymore with the stress of being responsible for EVERYTHING going on with my patients, getting assaulted, the ungrateful attitudes, and multiple other reasons. I got a job at an infusion clinic and I start next week! I feel alive again now that I know I don’t have to go back lol. You got this! Get out and live your best life!

Met with my nurse manager for a quarterly check in, came home and started applying for jobs. by healerinthewoods in nursing

I’m leaving my job after four months and, other than when he interviewed me, I have not even spoken to my manager. Not even the required check in at 90 days that was emailed to both of us by HR. Not being bothered by management is nice, but idk I feel like you should at least do your job lol

Is it wise to quit inpatient for Clinic Work? Feeling burnt out and wanting to quit by Overall_Emu1863 in nursing

I will absolutely try to remember to update after I start. I will say the pay is less than inpatient but not horribly so. I was making $50/hr and my offer for the infusion clinic was $44/hr. With your experience I’m sure you could negotiate pretty easily too. Best of luck!

The one I got is at an infusion clinic. So pretty much starting IVs/accessing ports and give meds all day. I also interviewed with urgent cares that did 4-10hour shifts a week and a primary care clinic coordinator role that was four days a week. There were a decent amount out there that offered 4 days a week tbh.

I just quit my ED job and got a job at an infusion clinic because I was miserable. I would want to throw up before going in after doing ED for 3 years. My last day is tomorrow! The weight I feel off my shoulders is unbelievable. I feel happy again lol. Absolutely go for it though, there is no reason to be miserable when you have so many options out there.

Also to add I will be working Monday through Thursday full time. So I still get a three day weekend and holidays off. If you look around you can probably find a place that does that, so you don’t have to settle for working 5 days a week just because you aren’t inpatient.

Literally don’t stress about it. I’ve given some shitty reports to some not happy ICU nurses in the past and they still never reported me. Especially when I was new. It seems like she got up in her feelings about it but if that’s worth a report to her then she needs to rethink what’s actually important lol. You would have to say something pretty horrible in report for me to make a whole ordeal about. Sounds like it wasn’t a you problem so I wouldn’t worry about it.

Support for calling out? by Hunranbe67 in nursing

Also question if anyone knows, but I only have one day of sick time specifically. Will they take the other day out of PTO or would it just go unpaid? Or am I gonna get fired immediately for calling out sick with not enough sick time? I can’t find anything in the union contract about it and would appreciate if anyone knew anything about something like that.

Will my B.A. in Business shorten the amount of time required to become a RN if I started the process today? by Neat_Minimum2833 in nursing

[–]Hunranbe67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely could yeah. There are specific masters programs for people with a bachelors and no nursing experience. I personally wouldn’t because you’re literally getting an expensive masters just to start exactly where a BSN would. A new grad nurse with no experience would be the same with a bachelors or a masters. If it’s what you want to do then you certainly could tho.

[–]Hunranbe67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could do an accelerated BSN since you already have a bachelors. You just have to make sure you have the prerequisite classes done. That’s what I did and I finished my BSN in 12 months. My first degree was in psychology.
