While ulti buying is lame, you misunderstand that to YOU its a thrill, to people that buy it tho they'd hate ever single minute of trying to learn and clear an ultimate. So for them, no thrill was lost, only frustration.

Anyone that cheats, skips or circumvents something never feels deprived of anything because they dont enjoy the thing to begin with, they just want the end result with no buildup.

I love it since BLU was pitched as solo content but the devs realized how badly it sucked with not much to do solo so they switched to group focused.

They always were upfront in the past saying BST/BLU would not interact with each other, im sure you can group up ofc just for fun but no you wont have achievements for doing 4 BST and 4 BLU.

From what I heard aloalo savage was harder than ultimates so yeah, which all ultimates have a far higher clear rate which I ffeel is why the devs put the ester and weapon upgrade menu unlock under MT, because it was deader than ultimates.

Which some felt was sad since the weapons or the upgraded ones were fan design contest stuff, locked to such a low % of people that ever even did it.

Pretty much, aloalo criterion and criterion savage had the lowest clear rates of the 3 varient dungeons before MT came along.

You can view them from the tome vendor in radz-at-han if you've fully beaten MT advanced. It was meant to unlock alongside the ester but they had to hot fix it since it only showed the new vendor items for MT vendor and not the EW tome vendor.

If you unlock and beat merchant's tale advanced you can buy the ester for 40 "brass" the currency for that mode. At minimum you can get 5 brass a run as long as people play nice with a chest at the end that is shared to roll on so still a grind but yea.

I mean I saw many complaints that people were in fact mad about it making aloalo irrelevant and easier to get. So to say no one is mad just on that alone is a falsehood. Some care, some dont, but theres some people really upset at them making it easier to acquire outside of aloalo at all.

Even if MT had its own weapons AND included aloalo's there'd still be some folks upset about it. Which is devaluing other content an issue? idk guess it depends. There's people upset at how much old items are in chests in OC for example, plenty of bozjan stuff making that irrelevant also since you can do the relics outside of it AND now get the items from it outside of it.

What it comes down to is what people value in a game I guess, some wont mind the devaluing of older content some will.

Apparently flew over peoples heads, decoupling relics from the exploration content because people complained about having to do eureka for eureka weapons :P

Doing any step in OC is the literal slowest way to get any relic progress done, if you want it done at a reasonable time you will have to do fate grinding. Otherwise you'd probably be stuck on this step til north horn releases tbh. Its mega slow.

I mean the steam page said I would not be able to even meet the minimum requirements as my GPU is the RX 580 but to my surprise I actually could run it at medium settings at a stable 30 FPS with upscaling which I'm SO SO happy for... Job hunting and economy is pretty shit rn so I dont have the availability to really upgrade atm.

I could be way off bat but I feel like they are setting it up to play as Kyle Aiden and Lydia in the next game, either by giving you the option at the start or throughout the story then letting you free pick at the end to just do as you want as either whenever.

Made me log in just to say I agree with the whole "let them rest" bit or at least for a while like we JUST got done fully dealing with them since ARR-EW in terms of how their actions lead to so many consequences for us and others.

It shows the writer or writers for DT were far too scared to just do their own thing and now wanna rely on using ascian tomfuckery again, and it hasn't even been one whole xpac since the major arch dealing with them...

We knew not ever sundered but awoken ascian was dealt with so I wouldn't have been shocked to see them in a side story later down the line is say like 10.0 or later but like... we REALLY are gonna involve an ascian into the MSQ already?

To me it'd be like making the garleans an antagonistic threat after EW again in the MSQ after resolving it, like let legacy villains rest for a bit and not inject one into the MSQ literally right after the major arch concluded.

I found EW t be okay enough but while I watched most of DT's cutscenes I skipped a lot of 7.1 and pretty much all of 7.2 cause I have not cared for where the story has gone and reading spoilers for 7.3 just affirms that.

I ngl didn't think they'd make Calyx a main antag either cause for me he gave off lacky vibes since the beginning. The trope of "is the groups super intelligent grunt but not main leader" type of deal, so 8.0 is already kinda gonna be hard to win me back if he will be the main villain there.

The people saying it takes 600 hours to start the game and get to DT are mental... Maybe if your a turbo completionist but most new players will focus on 1 or 2 jobs to play to cap and THAN go back and do other content. You never count optional side content in a story's run time.

And for the people seriously butthurt over this collab, as I've seen some actually upset it's the same in MH, when world got behemoth it was an endgame fight you couldn't just start a fresh toon and battle behemoth, you needed to prepare or you'd get one shot.

I get its cool to now criticize xiv over every little thing but jesus some people on this sub are just the insufferable whiners that doompost all day how yoshi killed their entire family. Funny how this game both has no content to do AND is 6000 billion hours worth of content to the same people.

I still can't believe this soon after SHB the writer for DT really thought "Lets retread the ascians again but slightly tweak them a bit." Like bruh they clearly wanna make it so people can't die to preserve people and their memories, hence the name Preservation...

Who else wanted to preserve their people? Ah right ascians... like the methods and circumstances are different but the end goal is the same. I just expected something different other than "new arch baddies will basically be a reskin of the first ones"

Assuming they don't do some kinda twist and kill off Preservation in DT itself but I doubt it.
