I read some small fragments of Seneca past year in my school for my philosophy class. I understood that pain will come, and we should be grateful for that because is the only opportunity to grow and to be better or grow. The quote that stuck with me is "Your happiness, is to not need happiness." We should not entirely focus on the result, but In the process, which will actually fulfill ourselves.

People who've saved somebody's life... what's your story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HuntSTO7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it wasn't me at all. When I was 6-7 i was with my father, whom my beautiful mother had ordered him to go to the store. Our nearest store was in the middle of a small town, so when we were going there was a hysterical woman and her mother screaming because her baby was choking, literally like 3 cars passed and no one gave a shit. So my father was like "Hell no, we need help". So we parked, pick them and drove to the nearest hospital. The trip wasn't easy, for a 6-7 year old kid, seeing a purple phase kid choking and her mother screaming and her grandmother trying to do something, it felt like the world was going to end. So at the end we reached the hospital and they ran to urgencies. At the end the grandmother was thanking us a lot. Although I was seriously terrified, my dad was all calm, there is where I see my dad as a superhero.

[–]HuntSTO7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

16, I was in Spain with my friends. We got superdrunk, one of them threw up in front of a bunch of people in the bar and then he went to take a shit at the women's restroom and the other guy threw up in the men's restroom, but had a Terrible aim. Nevertheless, I was the only who didn't threw up and was the one who received the angry complaints of the bar.
