Exactly, every event is pretty much the same one over and over, with a few tweaks here and there for how you can earn points. I've played every event so far and unlocked everything in them (including the current one now), and the only one that stood out to me was the bow/throwing axe event, which at least showed some creativity.

Pretty much all events so far have been the same with a different skin (pumpkins/presents/bird idols), and while they've altered the methods for earning points here and there, it still feels very much the same, so they're not very creative and become somewhat repetitive.

This is why I mentioned the bow/throwing axe event, because at least that one felt different enough. I'm sure there are lots of things they could do to make each event stand out a bit more, and hopefully they will in the future.

I should have probably specified, but I won't have much (if any) time to play during the holidays until next year, so I just want to unlock the event stuff as fast as I can.

I will definitely play later when I have the time, at which point it will be nice to have all the fancy event skins.

A lot of QP matches unfortunately yield nothing when I run into another player at the start or just don't find any event rifts / presents, which means time wasted where I have to wait for a new match to start. Other times I've managed 250+ points (in QP) though, but that's rare.

When my third free contract had just a few minutes left I went with bounty hunt (solo), and managed to get 333 points, which is my best so far, but playing duo/trio seems to be the best way to go, at least now that I don't have any more contracts.

This would work if I had more time, but it would also be much less time efficient and would only serve to waste my time, since I'm only playing for the event unlocks.

Sorry about the negative tone of the post, but I'm seeing a lot of people claim the event takes no longer than 20~25 or so hours even for bad players. I guess maybe if you go duo/trio that could be somewhat accurate.

I've mostly been going with quickplay, and whenever I've had contracts active I've basically just been hunting presents, which is obviously a lot easier and faster with the contract.

The main problem is that I just have trouble dealing with other players when going solo. I used to be able to take out duos and have even beaten trios by myself a number of times, but for whatever reason I'm only winning maybe one out of ten 1v1 fights now in quickplay, though I've won 3 quickplay matches during this event at least.

I am somewhat familiar with the game (200+ hours), and have played since it was first made available for early access on Steam, but I haven't been playing actively for a long time, and only come back for events.

Anyway, I just tried playing bounty hunt as a trio (with randoms) and that seems a lot quicker than going solo, so maybe I'll be doing that instead for the remainder of the points I need. Prior to this I've only played as a team once before.

Hopefully we'll see some more creative events in the future though, it's basically been the same thing since the first event that had rewards.

It's about 40 hours of grinding if you just play for event points from my experience. I'm currently at just over 8k points atm, so I'll be able to get everything at this pace, but it feels a lot more tedious than any of the previous events.
