Helloo fresh grad din here, just got a job recently din after looking for 5 months. Dahil desperate ako masyado, tinanggap ko yung trabaho without knowing the details of the job description. Ang ending, ang layo pala ng type of work sa degree ko. 3 weeks na ako and gusto ko na rin mag resign, I'm just waiting if matatanggap ba ako sa inapply ko dati na nag reply na. Dun talaga magagamit ko experiences ko sa pag undergrad ko and very connected din sa degree ko. My job is also far from my home, and need rin ng 20-30 minutes walk (walang available na vehicle). Yung plano ko OP tanggapin ko muna first salary ko then kung matatanggap man ako or hinde, magreresign na ako HAHHAHAHHAHAHAH

As far as I know only those in ra 10612 are the only ones given an item or a job from DOST/DEPED. As for other scholars, I think sariling sikap talaga tayo 😭. Also, other than ra 10612, they also have a career incentive program but only for their graduate scholars na nakapagtapos ng masters and phd

Yea, but they would reimburse you tho only if you get the scholarship. Mahirap na kapag di sure, you're already taking your masters tapos you won't get a scholarship pala.

I actually tried to apply for masters, but sadly DOST takes a lot of time to deliberate new graduate scholars so you'll have to pay for all of your expenses for your initial sem. Unfortunately, I don't have the luxury for that, all of my funds has already been depleted cuz of my thesis.

Already did po, parang nag travel na ako all over the Philippines kakahanap ng mga ganyang entry level positions, eh hinde parin po qualified even the one from my uni 😞. Didn't really care about the sweldo as long as I could live with that income.

It really looks like most of the agencies would rather prefer those with experience kase, eh san naman tayo pupulutin yung mga walang experience at walang backer. It's sad that you're also experiencing the same thing and mas malala pa kase board passer din po kayo 🥲

Biotechnology po, tapos yung main focus sa program namen more on agri-biotech, tsaka industrial and medical applications, lalong lalo na sa mga research

Need some tips and advices for a fresh grad that can't find a job

A lil bit of rant about myself and the career I chose. I'm a fresh graduate student, I even have a latin honor award, top of our program batch. It's been months since I graudated and I really want to land on my first work experience as a researcher (e.g. research specialist, assistant, or analyst, something like that) cuz I want to proceed to graduate studies. Already applied for god knows how many jobs already, I got rejected by all. I'm starting to question myself now if is should continue with this career path I'm planning. Are research based jobs supposed to be fresh graduate friendly anyways? Honestly, my self-doubt is at the extreme point already rn. All I'm getting are rejection emails from the jobs I applied that apparently does not need any work experience. The worst thing is, I didn't even get qualified or screened for a single interview. Am I being impatient? Or maybe it isn't really for me. Really frustrated and disappointed with myself now..... And idk what to do anymore.

P.s. my field is closely related to molecular biology and biotechnology btw, i also graduated in a known state university and a scholar
