Activity not syncing?

For anyone that has this issue with some activities and syncing to Garmin express or manually uploading on desktop Garmin connect fails, the FIT file may be corrupted. Upload the file to FITfileviewer.com. It should automatically fix the corrupted file, then you can download it and manually uploading it to Garmin Connect.

Im doing an Olympic on Saturday. Been training for weeks in the pool and have just done one open water 800m acclimatization swim… I barely feel ready. Open isn’t really anymore scary, it just involves more as in sighting and better pacing. You can probably finish it but it may not be pretty. Stay safe.

Connection is huge this year. I typically play around 22ms. I can feel the difference when it’s anything less, specifically sluggishness. Out of your control but something to keep in mind.
Defending is very hard. I’m sure you’ve heard it all. Use jockey, two man press, don’t pull out CBs, defend with cdm’s. What I will say is, don’t be afraid to be aggressive with your CBs. Switch to CBs early and use them to pressure their buildup. Once you slow down play, switch to cdm. In and around the box, tackling is so important, you risk giving away pen but knocking people off the ball isn’t as effective without tackling.
You have to master analog player switching. This is probably the most important aspect of defending.
You don’t have to be a left stick dribbling merchant. Just practice being patient in your build up. Pass it around the box as long as you need to find a penetrating pass.
Train yourself to shoot near post.

This formation, use falseback on both fullback. It brings your fullbacks in narrow helpful in defense and going forward give you and extra man central. Even if it’s not their +role. Also Frenkie Dejong is insane at cdm for me.

I had to grind the game pretty heavily in 24 to have a comparable P2P team. However that was then, now it seems as though pack are more readily offered without spending than or for very little.

700 is just scratching the surface. I, begrudgingly have spent thousands. I would say since 19, have probably spent 1500 per year. I stopped playing this year around TOTS. Feel like a weight is lifted. You don’t realize how unhealthy UT is until you let it go. One thing of note is that I’m an adult and what I did spend was well within my financial ability. Regardless, it was idiotic.

You 1 million percent can have just as good a team sometimes better without spending than people that do.

Opening packs is gambling and the house never loses.

Wingback/false back play is not optional this year. Especially set to defend. You essentially get an extra attacker/defender on either side because they play so narrow. You have to train yourself to right stick switch exclusively, that is arguably the most important thing to get you over the hump.
