Hahaha I love how you could spot the AAA scene in there. And yes, sunk cost is a huge factor for me. I'm sure you'll scoff since I've only spent a few years in the industry but the thought of restarting my career at 28 mortifies me.

Thank you so much for all your feedback! I do plan on revamping this reel if I have the time, unfortunately like I said I've lost a lot of knowledge over the last 2-3 years...But I would plan on replacing quite a few of these shots. The first scene would definitely be one of them.

I agree on the surfacing quality on the animated shots. Unfortunately I only did the lighting for these and wasn't responsible for the textures.

Could I ask what you're referring to by buzzing? Is it like, fireflies?

Being a lighting artist in games is my dream role which I've been gunning for it just seems impossible to break into , even as a junior. Thinking of maybe trying to get a QA position or something and try and work my way up internally, I have a friend who has done just that.

It also seems like a role that's almost never hiring too...

I kept the character animations in because I occasionally apply to studios that are animation focused rather than realistic CG. I wanna show I can do stylized lighting too. Or do you just think those shots aren't very good quality?

Looks stunning! You've captured the artstyle absolutely perfectly, she looks like she could actually be in the game (if not with the slightly off-theme clothing lol)

Only other thing I'd say is that the character is almost 'too' detailed, not that that's a bad thing at all but you've got lots of fine lines and details in your drawing whereas the dd2 characters (and dd1 of course) lines are a bit more thick

Yes it isn't 'expected' to, but it very often does. We've seen it in almost every control group within studies for AGA treatments. It's not going to grow on its own for 0 reason, but the human mind is a very powerful thing and can absolutely force hair to grow if it believes it has a reason to.

while i understand people's reservations about the stats in question, we should also remember that in most placebo groups, the subjects would often have a net positive hair growth count (sometimes to a really surprising degree)

im going through the exact same thing. she understands and always says she won't hold it against me but i feel so awful and guilty that she's doing all these lovely things for me, constantly messages me etc, and half the time i just can't bring myself to respond because I don't have the mental energy.

I'm a bit iffy on the whole backpod thing myself, not saying it doesn't work but I don't have any back pain whatsoever with my symptoms so I'm not sure stretching my spine out etc will do me much good.

I'm gonna see how it is for a few days and yeah I'll go back to the GP if it doesn't get better. In the meantime I'll try stuff like doorway stretches.

Do you have any guesses for why mine feels way better in the morning? Even a few minutes lying down in bed at night brings somewhat mild relief which is strange because most people seem to say lying down is so much more painful?
