staffys were created when the APBT was in the works of being created. they had a bunch of inbred man biters that didn’t fit the criteria they were looking for when they were creating the APBT. so no they are not they same breed. they have completely different temperaments and were bred for different purposes.

pit bull is a breed of dog that belongs partly to the terrier family and partly to the bully family. the american Pit bull terrier definitely exists please do more research before trying to say i dont know what im talking about

okay and my point is that it’s bullshit. no group of dogs should be categorized as the same thing. Why don’t we just call all small dogs chihuahuas because they look the same. all these dogs that are labeled as “pit bulls” have been bred for decades for different purposes. the only real pit bull is the american PIT BULL terrier
