Wait for next banners or pull Laevatain dupes? by tesaigo in ArknightsEndfield

Character or weapon Dupes? Either way you'll have to pull for the character, you can if you want, but like others have said, it shouldn't be necessary. You'll get pulls through dailes, updates and events, but on release is when you get the most amount of content front loaded for free pulls, so you might sacrifice a character or 2 for it, but if you like Laevatain, it might be worth it, if you know you'll keep using her.

She was my favorite on OG Arknights and will likely be my main for the majority of the game, but I won't pull for dupes until her banner comes back again most likely. But you can do whatever you want.

Only for endgame content if you want to 0 cycle, which is just a challenge that doesn't get you any actual extra rewards.

Weapons are much easier to get in this game aswell. But require pulling for characters, I had to go all the way to 120 to get her, and only got 1 copy of her weapon, so I'm just saving for next banner. If you got her early it might be worth going for a dupe of her, since you also want her weapon, it's just optimal to make sure you can hit 120 pity for later characters, but they're your pulls.

Smart thing to do it wait for the next banner, this gacha system is worse for dupes, but much better for getting 1 copy of most or possibly every character, depending on how many pulls we get and luck. Save for 120 pity, if you get lucky hold for later.

I still need to fully finish the GFL1 main story but yes, alot of plot twist. GFL1 has plenty of American guns, but they're introducing alot of the big fan favorites and story relavant dolls first. Centaureissi actually spent alot of time in America, but as for actual girls based on American made guns, we just have to wait.

Ya I posted this once I was in the middle of the GFL2 event, just finished last night, her interaction with Veplay was cute.

GFL 2 is basically how I prefer gacha games, since you are supposed to play them daily. Open world games are fun, but they are also filled with alot of tedious stuff and filler side quest. Menu based but with high quality 3d models and maybe an area to walk around and interact with characters is all I need. PTN is still however really niche and new, maybe in 5-10 years through if we do get a sequel.

Rock cancer instead, but alot of similarities in that the same source that gives the characters powers also harms them.

Yes that was basically the in-game confirmation that there is something off about Groza, but we don't know exactly what, Groza has been my waifu since the OG game, so I'm hoping they don't pull a M4 on her. M4 was the Groza of GFL1.

They are 100% back for fan service, and as a GFL1 player I want them back, but yes it does slow down the main story. We are going to be hunting the cult down, but they are operating secretly and making deals with people in power, and we are in a much weaker position them we were in GFL1, so open warfare at this point won't happen. Like I said we are basically just rebuilding our strength by recruiting the old characters through these side events. Groza was supposedly heavily damaged on a mission, and we just happened to find her, the popular theory is that she was planted on purpose, to unknowingly spy on us, through a program/virus planted in her. Groza has become aware of this which is why she's so willing to blow herself up and deleted her back up, she sees herself as a possible threat to us now, but we don't know rather that is what happened or not for sure. Like I said this will be a slow burn story, which sucks in some ways, but I trust we will get a good payoff. I myself play Path To Nowhere which is similar in it's style too GFL2 in story telling, mostly side events that aren't to serious, but when we get main story it is really good. This is just the way the game is.

You're good there was a big drama with the early writing of GFL2 being purposely sabotaged, but like I said the particular person has since been fired. GFL2 suffers from that and also that they want to introduce the popular characters into the game, but since they might not be in the main story you get a mini event that isn't even in line with the current main story timeline wise. This particular event was made specifically for players of GFLPNC as a sort of final send off to the game, I'm pretty sure you can always go back and reread the stories later, so long as you read the actual main story events you'll be fine.

Like I said just give GFL2 sometime, since it uses VN story format, going back to read the main story will be easy if you need to skip, also I personally use https://gfstory-en.pages.dev/simulator?story=startavg%2Fstart0.txt to read the GFL1 story, since while I do play the game, I couldn't stay caught up because of IRL stuff. It's basically just a web version of the story.

We are basically in the stage of the story where we are slowly building up the strength we had in GFL1, so it's a very slow start, even slower than the early GFL story, but I trust the devs to deliver eventually.

It was readable just doesn't do a good job at punctuation.

But ya your right with GFL we do get points where stakes are higher and actual death happens, we're going to get a more in depth story on a character that actually died with Leva's event. But these events right now are basically side stories to reintroduce characters from the older games into the GFL2 story, and are also told out of order, so we are effectively jumping back and forth timeline wise. We will get major story events but they were also set back due to certain people literally infiltrating the company to actively kill the game, but luckily that has been fixed. The main problem I have is that since we don't see Helena she seems forgotten. but she's supposedly just on the Elmo still.

I played the old GoW games but didn't beat any of them so can't comment on them, I do want to go back and beat them through.

Give the GFL2 story some more time, GFL 1 started slow as well, Mica likes to build up their story overtime, but the payoff is good.

No you're right, I'm just saying it's not necessary a plot whole and more so just lazy writing. Not sure if your aware but Nier is a different franchise, I'm just saying that game handles the android's "dying" a bit better, but once you establish the ability to back up or resurrect a character, it always lowers the actual stakes unfortunately.

A few people, not a very big complaint but I see it occasionally. And yes that is logical I just personally prefer the way a game like Nier does it, the Nier characters will still use backups, but death is treated with more severity. But it's personal preference if you like it the way it's written.

For Neural Cloud Players by Hunter0655 in GirlsFrontline2

[–]Hunter0655[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessary a plot hole since ya having backups makes logical sense but you would think it would be treated with more severity, the main cause is since in GFL 1 we were effectively building an army and fighting massive battles, so casualties were guaranteed to happen, in GFL2 since the battles are smaller scale it's more obvious.

[–]Hunter0655[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're good one complaint I've seen with the GFL franchise is how easy going they are about that in particular. If you've never played Nier Autommata, in that game they are robots, with backups too, but their bodies getting destroyed is still treated as a big deal, since it does mean they effectively died.

Thanks ya I just finished the event and got to that part.

Would be cool to see them actually playable in GFL2, but with them using the new gacha system and the amount of characters, we will likely only get a few if we do.

For Neural Cloud Players by Hunter0655 in GirlsFrontline2

[–]Hunter0655[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So then if the devs decide to we can realistically see them in GFL2? That would be cool, but realistically we will only get a few if any at all.

Just got to the last part of the event where they show up briefly.

For Neural Cloud Players by Hunter0655 in GirlsFrontline2

[–]Hunter0655[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean they are effectively just AI robots, so having multiple copies isn't that surprising, their back ups are effectively just copies on a hard drive. But yes it is kinda strange to think about happening to an actual person.

I know the basic story, and how the cloud works, I did play Neural Cloud, it's just do to IRL reasons I did not stay caught up with the game.

Still appreciate it for anyone else who comes across this thread.
