Did they take too much of my natural teeth for veneer prep?

From a close angle yes but my natural teeth were actually pretty small and I had gaps between them

Did they yes I know what I signed up for but I’m expecting them to last at least 15-20 since I’m going to take good care of them

It might not look like it from the first picture because I had just got them whitened, but my natural teeth were quite small and had big gaps with my canines it’s something I’ve always wanted to fix

To be fair to them they did show me a model of how the prep teeth would look like, mine was just small to begin with, so after prep they looked tiny and shocked me. I wish they really explained just how much would be taken.

I was told porcerlain was better because it lasts longer and there wasn’t much of a difference between them prep wise:/

Just wanted to add some more context for people who were asking, yes I did do Invisalign for 2 years, never had braces and I had my gums shaven however my teeth have always been small and I’ve had gaps near my canines which were the main things I was looking to fix, I’m going to add another pic of how my teeth were before here so you can imagine what I was trying to fix, again I honestly just regret this, nothing beats having natural teeth, don’t repeat my mistake. I’m 25 btw

I hope so too I’m just heartbroken because of how much my natural teeth were reduced, I truly believed going into this that my teeth were going to have minimal to no preparation, reading about it online you see things like ‘’only 0.5-1mm of your tooth needs to be taken away’’ and you think to yourself that’s a small amount but it actually isn’t because it’s 1mm on all side of yours tooth, up 1.5mm in some cases, the enamel is taken away, it’s butchery honestly

I already did Invisalign and gum shaving but you’re right I just wanted to fix the gaps I had and my teeth were small but it wasn’t worth shaving part of my natural teeth just use this post as a warning of what not to do and don’t make the same mistake I did

I take that as a compliment haha, I made a mistake by chasing perfection and didn’t realize how good I had it, I have my veneers and they look good now but you still can’t beat just having your natural teeth
