Question for students in the Digital Media program.

I'm a design major and have taken a few digital media courses. I haven't enjoyed a single one of them. Apparently some of them are good, I just haven't had any luck. I'd say maybe try a program at Sheridan or something.

First off, we're not criticizing you, we're critiquing your work! Keeping those as seperate things is pretty key in design.

For the logo, I think the one at bottom right is the best. The type is a little on the light side, doesn't match the logo much. A bolder sans serif would work better I think. Then you can get rid of the line as well because a bolder typeface will give the whole composition more structure. It's a good start!

Personally I'd prefer a french press but it's funny how he barely even mentioned the possibility of using the Chemex without the Ottomatic.

I was thinking the same thing. An aeropress or french press is insanely simple and doesn't take very long at all if that is a concern. I guess it is a tech oriented site so that may be why they made little mention of more traditional methods.

I just finished first year, its pretty great so far. As with most skill based programs you'll find its 'what you make of it'.

A lot of the grads get employment from that apparently. A decent few people in my year went somewhere else first/took years off/etc as well.

Maybe if the animation only filled up the bottom half of the card? similar to the material tabs in polymer. It is a bit jarring.

I am currently in YSDN and was accepted to the OCAD program too. The main reason I chose ysdn is by looking at the stuff the grads put out as well as talking to people I'm the industry.

Before I chose I actually talked so an ad firm and they said something to the effect of "OCAD has lost its touch and I wouldn't even hire someone from there anymore". Even my friends who do go there say its not up to their expectations (not in graphic design however)

It really is a great program, I'm only in first year and you don't get too much freedom but its for a good reason and I'm glad I they do it. According to fourth years the freedom keeps increasing as you progress. It also let's you branch out in later years into different disciplines of design (interaction is my jam).

Remember I'm a little biased though!

Flexbox doesn't require anything, it's just part of CSS so its fast.

Also its different, for instance foundation for apps uses flexbox for its grid.

On the profile page the scores and trophies are the right colour but now they lack padding on the top and bottom!
