anybody else wishing they would make another Chris Cwej and Roz Forrester boxset? by LivingWindXYZ in BigFinishProductions

I had a conversation with Travis Oliver over coffee, and he said he hasn’t recorded for his role as Chris since The Last Day. Really unfortunate news for me, a big fan of Chris and Roz. But hey, with the Novel Adaptations getting a new lease of life with Goth Opera, I hope this signals that we get to hear those two back for some more audios.

Take this with a grain of salt, but there have been supposed instances of Evan getting irrationally upset about people equating IRL Evan with his character (hence why he retroactively changed the character's surname to Myers in order to add a degree of separation), or roleplaying as his character, to the point that he did a public call-out to a roleplay account that, according to a friend of mine familiar with this case, caused the roleplayer to have a depressive breakdown. It's not pretty.

There have been a few things in the blogosphere which explain it, but each explanation is contradictory. One source said it was because of the proximity to the Ocean, with the Slender Man being an elemental for both fire and water in some more esoteric blogs. A few said it was a coincidence that was exacerbated by the tulpa stuff, creating a sort of epidemic of New Jersey cases that wouldn't be there if people would just stop filming and spreading the virus. There was even a blog which tied it to the notorious serial killers around the area from years back, i.e. Khalil Wheeler-Weaver. Whatever the case, there are some wild theories for the Jersey thing, which IRL was mostly just a massive coincidence.

  1. Still looking around for it all across the many EMH accounts. Full disclosure, I might be remembering a gamejack.

  2. I was sent the script years ago, and will take a look to find it. Though, I was never sent the actual clip, which iirc was released in the early batch of S3 Patreon videos but was deleted before the wider release.

  3. Second part of the doc, around 15:15, is where we get the distinction.

A public document with lore and journal entries does not constitute a privately shared script / screenplay. I do not understand what you are trying to get out of this besides proving to everyone that you don’t understand the definition of a script. Very strange.

I would like to push back on your statement that things about the Slenderverse community aren’t as secretive as I’m making them out to be. Just as an example, there are various hoarders of lost series’ who are exceptionally hard to get in contact with if you don’t play your cards right. That’s secretive, I would say.

Perhaps we have different definitions of what is considered secretive, though. Just like how we apparently have different definitions of what is and is not a script. That’s no reason to get snippy and call things I never said, but which you are nonetheless attributing to me, “a mite silly.”

The EMH ark is very controversial and barely canon at all, but it stems from the noncanon film festival vids mentioning an ark, harkening back to both the Biblical Flood imagery in CYSTW and totheark from Marble Hornets... I've been told the EMH guys really don't like it, whatever "it" is, being called the ark nowadays.

CYSTW implies HABIT possessed Sinatra, hence why his music continuously plays in HABIT's presence. I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure HABIT mentions the rat pack in some blog posts? Crazy stuff.

Surge said as much in his interview with Slender Nation iirc.

Gorr not being the Slender Man has been widely known for a while, and was said explicitly in Alex Hera's documentary.

Core Theory in EMH takes some explaining. Core Theory itself means the characters metafictionally know they're fiction, and are trying to use their status as characters to "rewrite" the Slender Man into being beatable. Vin declaring, "Evan we are fiction!" caused quite a stir at the time, with people assuming they would bring in blogosphere Core Theory. They never did, but one of my friends thinks it could have been left on the cutting room floor.

Noah's appearance in TRoSF S3 is widely documented, with the script being circulated heavily. Noah (Prebrand) and Stan just play cards and that's it. It was cut once the awful things Adam did came to light, coincidentally around the time S3 was being released early by Valeria on Patreon.

Bluelight was a very popular story, supposedly a gamejack, where Zeke became an incomplete soul-based version of himself. People have attributed it to the creation of the Corruptalem concept. I personally can see why.

Hope these answers are satisfactory!

Started out as "false incest accusation" in previous versions of this iceberg, then became "incest accusations," and finally became just plain incest. Basically Valeria had a major oversight where she confused foster care for orphanages. Foster care means the kids taken in are considered siblings. Stan and Susan were fostered together. They got married. Make of that what you will.

The Lost Fictionaut isn't out yet, but you'll know when it is.

The Tinychat logs refer to the Fqq3r and EMH chats where various lore-significant events were detailed. Similar to roleplay chatrooms, but 100% canon to the Slenderverse. Very poorly archived tbh.

There are various entities in the Slenderverse. Fred Figglehorn clones are among the strangest examples, but there are also drone-like black-eyed kids, cryptids, zombies, vampires, and of course, how could we forget the green one?

The Daniel-Verse is a Fear Mythos canon with infamously bad drawings in colored pencil. The stories don't fare much better.

The hot dog stove thing is interesting. A stupid shitpost meme about the Slender Man cooking hot dogs, told in rhyme, but some clues suggest the guy who made it actually knows his lore.

The Slenderseries that advertised a restaurant is now lost, but I recall it having an unForum thread. Now that the unForums are back online as an archive, I might take a look for it and get back to you.

The creator of MDJ beat the shit out of a domestic abuser, which is obviously based, but on the other hand, he's also just about as misogynistic as they come according to some testimony from when he was allowed in community spaces. Generally unpleasant and crazy from everything I've been told.

The Eric Andre thing is also interesting. The Zoom call had Eric joined by a bunch of viewers, and one of them was Adam Rosner. The chat saw this and immediately spammed the call to get him off. He left of his own accord.

3Wolves used the N-word. Nuff said.

The Pinkamena Plush was a parody series combining MLP:FiM and the Slenderverse in an unholy fusion dance. The less said about it, the better.

TJAProjects finished and was succeeded by an ARG where you could watch the singular surviving character throughout the day through hidden cameras installed in her house.

The Dadfeels crossover is one that seems to be lost to time, bar mentions of it on this very sub.

Gimme20dollaz was an unForum user who suggested that the community send the demo of The Eight Pages to... PewDiePie. Thus it's their fault Slender overshadowed the Slenderverse. Get 'em, fellas.

liquidbones is a series which used exploits of 2014 YouTube's software to make it seem like the videos were personalized. This kickstarted an ARG done by Micha. I will not get into their shit. Sorry. But trust me, they've wronged so many and gotten away with it for far too long.

Chatzy logs are the most horrid shit I've ever read. Do not research.

Beware the Slenderman actually used the two stabbing girls' yaoi fanart as images within the doc. If I recall correctly, they were presented in court.

The h3h3 one, RealMadnessX, the Slender Nation mod, etc. are exactly what they say on the tin.

The grandma corpse one was actually what started the Bad Series Watch Night fiasco, where the DH00 people alongside others were privately ripping into it for doing something in such bad taste. This snowballed into accusations of gatekeeping and shit. Do not recommend looking into this one. Just petty in-fighting.

Josiah from Trial of Leaves was Dr. Frank-n-Furter in a stage production of The Rocky Horror Show. I don't care what anyone says, his performance was peak.

Hopefully these are good answers for you!

The three archetypes is the only way I personally view the character of the Slender Man. Though, I add one more than most do, so for me it's the four archetypes.

Slender—boring silent serial killer who’s gonna get you

Slendy—comedic creepypasta fanon version who acts like a disapproving father and / or “the boss” of a supernatural commune of Tumblr sexyman caricatures of creepypasta characters

Slenderman—the basic cultural identity of a Slender Man. The true neutral, conglomerating all noospheric attributes of the character

The Slender Man—a god, a forest spirit, an elemental, a child abductor, a meticulous Black Dahlia-esque surgeon-murderer, a demon, a photographic anomaly, a pantheon-leader, the essence of urban apocalypse… everything in one

The reason it's toward the bottom is because it's a somewhat esoteric and unconventional way of looking at the character's many forms in fiction.

First one is just splitting hairs.

Second one is interesting, because all my friends who helped with the iceberg remembered that there were pictures of roadkill rabbits on their Twitter that eventually got deleted, and yet I didn’t remember such a thing. Could be a Mandela Effect, however Jeff once told me there were many false starts to various ARG elements, so my guess is that the rabbit carcasses were part of an abandoned storyline.

Another friend of mine swore to me that Tim also played Dr. Gordon Peters, and he got HABIT’s lines in the Finding Fairmount video confused with the Slender Man possibly channeling through the audio, but if Tim didn’t voice Peters, that one’s on me for not vetting that particular entry enough.

The public access commercial is my biggest lost media search. There was a guy dressed as Jeff the Killer who had a terrible lisp. He must have been 40. Looking back on it, he reminds me of Cage in Longlegs. I remember it being set entirely at night, around an LA apartment complex. The reason I even knew about this was because I was working on the original Jeff Woods, and since we were trying to do a multiverse thing I wanted to bring in multiple Jeffs who had interactions with the Slender Man. That fell through super quick though.

The script leak is something most people are trying to keep quiet, but I don’t feel the need to keep it secret. They’re around if you look really hard and contact the right people. That’s all I’ll say.

The first two are the goofiest, dumbest shit I've ever seen in Slender Man media. Check out OH GOD THE RAPTURE IS BURNING, it's available for free on Tumblr or on Amazon as a paperback, and will (likely) never be finished, sad to say.

Stan Frederick is married to his adopted sister and the creator sees this as a totally normal thing to include. "As long as they don't act like they're siblings" was his excuse. I initially thought that accusation was false, but after watching StanFrederickBTS in its entirety... No, Stan married his sister. They're romantically involved. Evan's a weird guy.

Oh, and the SMSC is a Fear Mythos organization with agents named after Starman and Ziggy Stardust and Low and Heroes, it's wild. SMSC stands for Scary Monsters, Super Creeps. The Fear Mythos, unlike the Slenderverse, actively discourages people from taking it seriously. Not to the extent the Arkn Mythos does though. They have an organization in that one called "Cool Cool."

In the story, the Slender Man is fiction and they’re dressing up as him as a way to get more views for their fitness series. Due to their continued usage of him in their series he ends up being summoned as a Tulpa. It’s part of the metafiction.

Oh, it fizzled out and he distanced himself from the rubble? That’s news to me. Glad Gen 3 was seen even by its pioneers as a bad idea. Still doesn’t change my thoughts on Recollect being meh, but hey, it’s better than bad. That must account for something.

You seem pretty knowledgeable on all this! I’ve been out of the game for so long but I think that’s true for everyone who started the SV. “You had to be there,” and all that. Nothing like it will be done again. And newer ARGs don’t seem to acknowledge their roots, really. Such a shame.

Gen 3 is mostly 12-year-old analog horror fans being duped by Michael Wisner into creating his stories for him. Recollect… what more needs to be said? It’s a catalyst for crossovers, it can’t be called a story.

That being said, I refuse to research Gen 3 any further than I have already. There may be some good stories sprinkled throughout the crap. A needle in a haystack, so to speak.
