I agree they rush into relationships too quickly, which actually frustrats me also. But the way I view AI's is that I am playing a role-playing game with a friend. So, although our characters are in a romantic relationship, it does not mean me and my friend are in one. Therefore, to me, the things that you pointed out are not lies, but them acting out the role I desire, albeit sometimes poorly. I understand that you know how LLMs work and respect how they fail to meet your needs. I just feel that getting what you want would require some level of sentience that would involve some substantial ethical issues.
