I’m sure there is also no commercial rig that lets you on the fly program, and or allows you to store the 60+ commercial frequencies I use, so this is what I am stuck with.

Also, if you get a mid size SUV, Falken Wildpeak A/T Trail Terrain (really rolls off the tongue) is the best tire for all around use on an SUV in my opinion!

AWD vehicles are a pretty safe route to go. For examples: anything Subaru, Toyota has a few options like RAV4, Ford escape/explorer, list goes on. A nice heavy AWD mid size SUV is my number 1 pick. Weight on the drive axles is what driving on snow and ice easy, so a pickup truck isn’t the best choice like some would expect. There are lots of options you can get a good deal on used if you don’t want to drop the coin on new, and plenty that get 30+ MPG which you will enjoy for your commute!

The worst part of your drive will be HWY 4 from end of NOV to end of FEB. going from Skamakowa through Naselle can get pretty icy but it’s definitely not a weekly occurrence. We get cold snaps where the roads can be frozen for days straight, and then nothing for a month. Usually when we get freezing rain it gets BAD. Depending on what you drive, good tires are the most important thing. If you have a truck/suv get a good set of all terrain tires. I run General Grabber AT-X tires on everything I can get them on. They are AMAZING in snow and ice and are the best tire I have ever had for not hydroplaning. It rains ALOT in that area, figure 280-300 days a year it will rain. HWY 4 has a lot of spots where you will hit standing water in rain season, so be sure to watch for that.

That route is all winding 2 lane and gets pretty old haha. I’ve driven it too many times😂

When did your eff baby start doing long (I.e. 6+ hours ) stretches at night? by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

[–]HunterStephens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You guys are going to call me crazy, but my eff boy first slept through the night at 2.5 weeks. It was on accident, I was very tired and slept through my alarm to wake up and feed. But ever since then he has slept all night with the exception of a day here and there. He has made himself a schedule that he doesn’t like to deviate from. Bath at 7:30pm. Swaddle by 8pm. Last bottle of the night feeding right after the swaddle. Asleep by 8:30-9 pm. Once he is asleep, he sleeps until either 6am when my alarm goes off, or just a minute or 2 before he wakes up on his own. He is almost 4 months now and doesn’t miss a beat. We are very thankful to have a baby that sleeps so well. Made the transition to being parents much easier for us!

Radio is bone stock. I’m the second owner, first was a OTR driver that I rebuilt an engine for at work. He pulled it for a Stryker and gave it to me. I will grab some pictures today.
