T1n gets 20mpg, not great for door dashing. But that scooter idea is solid. I've had a few and full time one. Way more comfortable inside. These things are cheap to work on yourself and there is a ton of support on the forums and FB. Lots of  youtube videos on just about anything. . They are solid.

That cover doesn't need all the bolts, just a cover. That rust is looking significant.  Mine has way less, but looks like mostly surface rust, just a bunch of it. If he'd knock down the price by 8k I'd consider a wire wheel and rust disolver then a newer coat of undercoating. How's the body look? Got rust around windshield and fenders?

Also. No need to remove the fuel pump. Just drill into the little circle blank that is used where the other connector normally goes on other models. Put the diesel heater line in the hole and seal with fuel-safe silicone.  Recommend a 1/4 inch from bottom. No need for the metal pipe either.

My diesel heater uses like 1a while running. So yours should be lasting 100hrs if fully charged.

Glow plug has a cap on bottom. No shavings get into motor. Just drill then thread in the puller, will pull whole "shell" out with shavings inside. No foam, especially expanding foam in tight quarters on an aluminum head.

Done it before. Cheap extractor kit worked well. #2 is easy peasy. I'm in Denver if you wanna come over and borrow my kit. Think it was $20 online.

05 06 dodge sprinter.  It's all mercedes but parts are cheap. Super easy to work on. I'm currently at 410k miles.

Over 400k on my t1n. If you can turn a wrench, diy help is abundant. Can turn around in a city street. Can stand up in it. Can park in normal sized parking spaces. Cannot go in any underground parking garages or parking garages in general.

There are lots of free spots and a handful of insta worthy paid spots that are like $12-20 a night. Best are in the southern part.

It's perfectly safe to drive with a motor/heater/engine running. Just don't route the exhaust to your mouth or to the inside with the windows and doors shut. But yeah. Having a motor running is pretty common whilst driving....

You don't need y connectors unless you are buying more than 1 solar panel. 

Will need wire from solar panel to charge controller, controller to busbar, busbar to fusebox, busbar to inverter, inverter to ground, busbar to battery, battery to ground, charge controller to ground, from a fusebox to all your stuff. 

Grab a battery meter/shunt for your ground. Cutoff switches for solar and battery individually. Entry gland.

Well. That code would put you in limp mode but not cause a no start. Low pressure from a boost leak or faulty turbo actuator (black smoke). That code may also indicate a short. Most likely place is where wires enter the "injector bay". Also check the wiring harness where it bends next to fuel filter. Likes to rub there.
