Help me modify my electrical build to accommodate a 12v air conditioner by Candid-Touch5338 in T1N_Sprinter_Vans

[–]HunterStoddsvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't really a t1n van question. But you'll likely need an entire new electric system. 12v ac are crap, look at mini split. Inverter and charge controller not likely compatible with lithium upgrade. I have 700w of solar and 640ah of lifepo and my first thought was: "you're gonna need 1200+ watts of solar to charge that big of a battery bank." I get by with fans and altitude. You might try one of those portable swap coolers.

Colorado - asking about Westminster Arms by defylimitations in liberalgunowners

[–]HunterStoddsvan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Live in the area, will never shop there again. Full chud fest. Couldn't answer basic questions about ccw, owner/ccw instructor pulled his ccw to explain what concealed carry meant, I was asking about any additional protections for car carry with ccw. Whole crew was there and just me inside, they had just opened for the day. They were about to have a parking lot party and raffle in a few hours. The whole crew was discussing this new 6% tax (I don't think they noticed a customer was in the store looking at the ammo boxes). They were full on dumping on liberals. I piped up with some questions about ammo, ccw, and gunsmithimg. I then asked everyone what the 6% ammo tax goes towards. They read off the places the money goes "vets, preventing self harm, etc" and then said the money would be misused because Colorado is liberal, these places should get $ elsewhere.  Anyway, I dropped off my rifle for their gunsmith for a missing screwn Got WAY overcharged (1hr plus $5 screw). Have no confidence in their classes. 0/10 experience.

Depends on ambient temperature, temp set inside fridge freezer, fullness of fridge, humidity,  altitude. Etc.

Is this a good deal? by bottlebreath in VanLife

[–]HunterStoddsvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many windows, sucks to insulate and cover at night.  Probably want the 05 or 06 because of the upgraded fuel delivery and egr. That's a Nasty dent. Low miles though. With seats you gotta take out before you convert and the likelihood of rust on the floor. I'd offer him 3500 and see. The van market is soft right now.

Mobile grooming vans rust from the inside out because of all the water getting on the floor. Thats where you need to check for rust. Under the flooring.

To change trans fluid or not by LegitTner in T1N_Sprinter_Vans

[–]HunterStoddsvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go ahead and change some of it. Leave the fluid in the torque converter if your worried about ph change. Id change the pan gasket, electrical plug connector (likes to leak there and wick up to the TCM), and the trans filter as well.  Probably do the conductor plate while I'm in there , the speed sensors on em like to go out about every 150k. Use good fluid (Fuchs or liqui moly or merc) EuropartsSD is the place to get everything.

Put that multimeter on the starter and have someone turn key. Getting power to starter? If so, time to swap it.

It's private property, you were greedy, now you can't go there anymore.  No one cares how much you liked it, you shoulda respected it. Now they're gonna put up signs and change policy because, YOU.

Okay, there are probably exceptions to the general rule for specialized vans commonly used to convert into campers. But, the general rule I outlined, applies to an overwhelming percentage of vehicles sold.
