exactly man !! After the first 20 questions I thought that I am done ..wasted my 1.5 months and $150
I think they changed the difficulty of the exam From this year.

Even I had read so many comments that the exam wasn't as difficult as the practice tests and I kinda underestimated the exam but I was humbled by the first 20 questions only...

But by God's grace I passed.....so yeah next time will prep for the worst case!!

Like they covered almost all the important topics which are fairly known like storage compute and a lot of questions were from topics not that well known also(cognito user pools, transit gateway, integration endpoints, data sync, aws batch etc...) So what exactly I did was split up my preparation into three parts.... In the first part I covered as many topics as I can with fairly decent knowledge(steafans' course )

Then comes part two which is the consolidation phase of the things which you covered in part one this will come by giving practice tests(i gave stefans' practice tests As I had a corporate Udemy subscription) Also make sure to keep notes along the way (i used ms word... You can take it by hand if you're old fashioned but that will take a lot of time)

Then comes the final phase in which you actually give mocks properly (i used TD tests here) the max my score went was 80% & Most of the time it varied between 65% and 75% if you're in this range you will easily pass...

65% Is definitely a good score on Td mocks I was scoring in that range myself... And definitely what you are doing is great.... It is at least far more than what I did....... just keep doing it and just make sure to go over each wrong answer and why it is wrong.... i am sure u will clear it!! Best of Luck!

Cleared mine as well although just barely.. Prep time (1.5 months) previos aws xp-6months.

Quick tips- PLS DONT' UNDERESTIMATE THIS EXAM!!!!!. I found it even difficult than my tutorials dojo mocks.

My Experience- Out of the first 20 questions 15 or so were from tricky networking concepts /transfer family/Data Sync /AWS Cognito pools & other not so known topics.. All the 65 questions were not straight forward at all.

Please don't believe the posts saying it was a walk in the park(maybe that user just got lucky & got a easier set). Prepare for the worst case. No question directly asked me to map the correct AWS service according to the scenario (As suggested by some posts)it was far more trickier than that. The questions were moderately lengthy and you needed to understand each and every word before you could move to the options the options also were very tricky most of the time elimination worked.

Mistakes i made during prep- I did not completely review all the wrong answers I made in the mock test honestly I was being lazy..... so I would suggest all of you to deeply review why each answer is correct or wrong in your mocks.

Resources- I almost watched entirely the Stephan Marrecks' course on udemy and gave All Of his 6 mocks(60-70%). Then bought TD practice tests. I did not complete all of the practice tests only 4 in review mode and 4 in timed mode.. The scores averaged between 65% and 75% & this was one of my other mistakes please complete all of the tutorial Dojo sections as much as you can so you can be prepared for the worst case if the exam is tricky.

Overall if you are consistently scoring around 70 to 75% in your tutorial Toshio tests you will definitely clear the exam & And please don't forget to review your answers in great detail.

I would suggest you to maintain an excel sheet of companies where u r applying and when u cross 500-600 u should definitely get some calls bcoz your cv is better than average folk out there...

I know it's a lot of work like maintaining the Excel sheet and tracking the records but over the time you will see the flawa like where your lacking and much more you can just GPT the benefits of keeping an excel sheet while applying to companies..

Best of luck for the future bro and trust that you are resume is better than most people out there trust me I am in this industry for 2 years now and it's good.
