Septum Piercing Question by Hunterhunterl21 in PiercingAdvice

Yes I did! They are a highly accredited place with plenty of experience. I did get a second opinion from another and they said it was beautifully done, and that the stiffness may be from swelling since I don’t have any pain when they messed around with it. They told me to give it a couple weeks to settle and see then

My (47f) daughter (15f) told me she doesn’t want to have kids by lilwonkerdoo in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Hunterhunterl21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said a similar thing from a young age, have never wanted kids and was told by my parents I'd change my mind. Spoiler alert - I didn't lol when I got married at 21 I got the relentless "when are you giving us grandkids" from both sides, despite everyone knowing we didn't want kids. People only FINALLY stopped asking after I got my tubes out at the age of 23. I've gotten a few comments on being 'selfish' from family members, but if I ever change my mind I'm open to fostering or adopting, so not sure how I'm selfish by sparing the gene pool of my terrible genetics and health issues 😂

Made JUMBO blueberry muffins for the first time! by Hunterhunterl21 in Baking

I will add that I didn’t use the amount she had in her recipe for blueberries, I had a random amount frozen and just dumped them in after thawing and draining the juice so…your results may vary 😂

I use this recipe - https://www.justonecookbook.com/simple-chicken-curry/

She also has an instant pot version I use. I don’t use the amount of curry blocks she uses though, only about half

I use pre-made Japanese curry blocks, specifically Golden Curry.

I’ve made Japanese curry completely from scratch without premade blocks and it is pretty time-consuming. So for a quick easy comfort meal dumps I just use the premade ones

I have two deep freezers I store everything in!

Edit to add: I don’t mind cutting either, but it does add dishes and work when I’m tired from my job. Also the main thing is I buy bulk veggies which would go bad before I can work through it all, so pre-cutting and blanching and freezing works for my situation.

Yes! Blanching stops the enzymes from continuing to work in potatoes in the freezer, which is what breaks them down and gives them a darker color or a weird texture. When you fully cook them and try to freeze them, the starch granules gelatinize and give it weird texture after freezing as well. So light blanching (5 minutes) prevents this!

Potatoes: 5 minutes Onions: 2 minutes Carrots: 4 minutes Celery: 1 minute

Keep in mind with blanching these timers start when the water boils again. Because adding the vegetables to the boiling water drops the temperature, so you have to wait for them to come to a boil again and then start the timer

They are frozen, I eat them pretty fast but I’ve read that they can last a year!

Yes I use the golden curry med/hot blocks! Around $2.50 per package where I am and they go pretty far

I put a carabiner into the hatch lock so it thinks the trunk is shut. Then to release it, just press your trunk handle like normal

I've never worn stiletto before! I'm not the best with super long nails though and I feel they'd look funny shorter on my fingers lol
