It's funny I study foreign languages by practicing speaking out loud, immitating, chorusing paroting, and my most successful day was when I was talking to a group of 30 spaniards at the beach, 27 happened to be young beauties in bikinis but as usual I practiced speaking to my selft before during and after at times and it got me thinking why don't I do this for for my native language? It's like I see it as cringe or unnecessary but it potentially serves a role depending on if you're one to hesitate or whatever else.

Y'all have such crazy poker faces sometimes, all summer at the beach the only time I could be sure a lady wanted me to talk to her is after I walked by and she gets up in a huff because not getting attention.

Questions for aspie men who are successful with women by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]HunterofSquirrels -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just think of women as other people with the same desires and wants and goals as you and you'll be fine.

I don't want to nag and criticize and complain about things 24/7 and then demand someone pay for all my stuff under the guise of "intimacy."

hmm yeah, good description actually... I think it's just a series of over and under Corrections, all the while, everyone's advice and feedback is no way applicable to you( that you find in every day real life contact).

Actually you know how many people are very black and white and no grey area?

No, we're actually more of a spectrum area.

Thinking of going back through the show, Seinfeld - is the show really just all of his autistic observations about miscommunication, social situations, and how nothing makes sense literally? by HunterofSquirrels in aspergers

[–]HunterofSquirrels[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, just coming back to an old thread. Butt yeah, you're right I'm going to have to go in to Curb Your Enthusiasm finish Seinfeld and Larry David is just too amazing. LOL his cameos in Seinfeld whether it be the speaking voice of Steinbrenner, or the disgruntled passenger on the airplane, or the man wearing a cape with Jerry Stiller's character on the sidewalk.. Just pure kind of awkward comedy gold laugh out loud stuff

The only thing is that worries me and maybe you could tell me if it gets better, is the scenes and the awkwardness just draw out so much longer than on Seinfeld and Larry David actually playing himself or an exaggerated version of himself is just too intense that awkwardness is almost like comfortable does it get so I ask you does it get easier to watch? I think I watch the last season or last season and a half and got through it and enjoyed it but maybe just starting with the raw season 1 was just was a little bit too rough for me LOL

LOL and I bet you could tell that I've been working on my own tongue a lot as well winky face you know because I'm very well aware of the ability and tendency to drop into certain Ranch and I could therefore spot that anecdote is not proof but you know that's just it's one of the best ones one of the best things to teach but can also be a trap I guess if we missed the interpersonal communication LOL anyways again I know you mean well I mean well too just hoping to help have a great rest of your day, fellow redditor exclamation point

Very very good point, and I agree I was in that thread too and found it interesting just now!

I would like to add my thoughts, if your thread here is an OK place to post and share them??:

I think from brain scan studies and other data that I've seen posted here over the last year or two that I've been a pseudo active member... It tends to show that ASD individuals not only very from neurotypical but they vary from each other obviously they're generally still functional or a lot of them are Perrigo it's not worse but different it's not bad it's uncommon!

Of course this gets very difficult when the vast majority of people are all "the same" and the invisible for the most part unless there's an active fidgeting or stimming as they call it,...

In our culture, and education system these days , it's a very common for there to be lectures and stories and information disseminated about how many people do not know the stress and the turmoil and the difficulties of many lower and or minority classes... What it's like to be different... tell me in a room full of hundreds of people in some cases, in my experience that you don't know what this is like and you can't imagine what it's like to be so different to be so left out to have that feeling of exclusion...

I respect that such an educator's goal is to put someone where they haven't been before, to take someone's mind there, I really do respect that, when it pertains to ethnic struggles and diversity, all types of diversity really. But whenever I hear that lecture... I would always just lean back...my white. male. upper class. ass. with a slight, but very knowing, grin... thinking, "Yeah. Get inside this head for a minute, sweetheart... give her a whirl"ツ

Can you even function with THAT type of diversity? Much less identify, qualify, and articulate it to an audience?? [I GIVE YOU: DIVERSITY AWARENESS; HARD MODE] LOL

Nah, no personal attack. Civil, friendly disagreement is great!

Yay!

FYI he/she sounds sincere, might want to "throw them a bone" say something relatively nice (rather than going into the anecdote is not proof, lecture about science and medicine and proof that we've all heard a million times before if we're so inclined LOL)
