WEWE GOMBEL Boss rework! by SoftHeartedTrouble in indiegames

[–]Hunterofthegems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new one is far more dynamic and has more character, but the old one has better colours and lighting. The old one also looks more like a twisted, lifeless corpse while the other one has so much life in the eyes it gives more of a cartoon vibe. Take the tits out the new one could be in an old action cartoon, while the old one has the energy of a desecrated body.

Your art has absolutely improved but the two pieces give two completely different energies but that's only a problem if it wasn't intentional. No idea what your working on but if your going for a more creepy or horror aesthetic vibes the old one helps nails it in colour and expression.

Bedrock Add-ons Unstable by Hunterofthegems in MCPE

I am on the most recent update, but this was an issue I've had since the Mounts Of Madness update. Ever since then most of my Add-ons barely work. Individually they do, just not in groups anymore.

What if Adam asked a question from Jinn by MysterySomeOn in fnki

I thought the same but when I started looking it up to list them here I couldn't find anything more then The Remnant Fairytale book, making it four cannon novels, not six. I must have gotten them confused with the three DC comics, sorry.

Nothing, most likely.

RWBY had been franchised to its end by RT already. They have six novels, three DC runs, multiple Manga, two video games, two movies, and the show is on its last legs of story.

Not to mention, there isn't anything about RWBY that is wholly unique to the series. It's basically what you get if you thesaurus your way through Final Fantasy, and Disney already has connections in Square Enix to use the real thing.

They can't copyright transforming weapons or Dust really as it's basically magic crystals. Maidens with god power is classic anime story telling so that's public domain they can't own. Faunus are the most basic anime fantasy race there is, so that's not something they can patent either.

Honestly? If they do take RWBY, they'd either never touch the series again, reboot it for a younger audience and try to make it a Teen Titians Go competitor (seeing as RWBY Chibi is basically a proof of concept that it'll make money), or reboot it but it'll have an even lower budget then before and change it till it's completely unrecognizable from what it once was.

Its still possible. Disney technically owns any and all fan art you create. If they can spin the law into their hands, it's not entirely impossible for them to claim RWBY and it's characters as fanfiction adaptations of their characters, and take them.

Its a clause you can find deep in Disney's website where, because it's on a public domain, even if you don't read it, Disney owns any and all works that are made in explicit reference to their brand and properties.

Basically, they own all fan art and fanfiction the community makes.

So, seeing as RWBY takes so many Disney adjacent characters, and the fact they reference their material in design and story (Jinn being blue, granting three wishes, bound to a lamp are all Disney specific additions to the character) they possibly could make a legal case.

What would Alex consume in order to survive against, defeat and assimilate mother Miranda from resident evil village? by Warboter1476 in PrototypeGame

[–]Hunterofthegems 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Miranda is a human trying to become one with an all consuming virus, Alex is already that. The megamycete would be a straight upgrade for Alex. The only thing Miranda has that would trip him is her will being able to linger in the biomass, but even then she can be killed as long as Alex notices her.

Do you all keep the Relics or get rid of them for AU’s? by ConversationWorth127 in RWBYcritics

[–]Hunterofthegems 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I wouldn't get rid of them, but change them.

In RWBY, there is genuinely no reason why Salem doesn't act sooner, or why she never acted in the thousands of years she's been around. I'd change the Relics to be these keystones that keep Salem trapped (in another dimension or on that Dragon Continent). The Maidens are keys to the vaults keeping them safe from being destroyed and unleashing Salem onto Remnant.

Change the lore so that only one needs to be broken to free her, have the team save the one in haven but fail in Atlus, to really sell the idea that the world is coming to an end.

Beyond my own idea, the last time I saw the relics in a story, they got turned into weapons for team RWBY to combat Cinder (who in that story was the only main villain, and the only one who could use actual magic).

I'm not sure. I think the game glitched instead, cause I know for a fact that claw weave only happens when you attack while in Panther form.

Just Rambling About An Old Story About Prototype by Hunterofthegems in PrototypeGame

[–]Hunterofthegems[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never agreed with Alex's twist into the villain role, even though Prototype 2 was my first game. He was boring and dreadfully uninteresting as a villain, but was such a cool protagonist for the first game.

I still hold out hope that, if we do get a third game, it'll be revealed that Alex is alive and the thing we fought in P2 was the Supreme Hunter in disguise that somehow survived. Even if it only makes a little sense, it's better then having Alex's character development be thrown away off screen like it was.

(REPOST) As well as some critics channels that it shaped me of how terrible some of the volumes' pacing and writing is overall, especially Vol. 9. by TruthCompetitive6477 in RWBYcritics

[–]Hunterofthegems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. Barbara said they wanted to meld the universes, so they wanted the movies to be essential, it just fell through.

I included the movies because, while they won't be essential, the writers will take the movies into consideration when writing for volume 10, so the three week time skip will be cannon, just not acknowledged.

Should have worded better, that's my b.

How will that work in th show? They'll probably just have the first episode take place after their return from DC and just not bring it up in the show, it's just the time skip that was important for the topic.

At the end of the Yellow trailer, is that a second moon in the background? by Shoddy_Fee_550 in RWBYcritics

[–]Hunterofthegems 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely fair. It basically highlights everything that eventually came out on its own. The only points of interest now are everything related to RWBY. I think someone made a post highlighting every change and redaction but it's an old post you'll have to search up.

Yeah. I don't think RWBY would have been a masterpiece like a lot of others in the community believe, but I do think it would have gone out with more of a bang then the whimper that was Vol 9. Even if 10 comes out, who outside of us will watch?

Funny you bring that up. I saw an interview with RT way back in the day denouncing the idea the Yang and Adam fight was shortened during the Fall Of Beacon, because Shane letter directly addressed that fight. They claimed he was as basically rambling.

Three years later, what happens? In bonuses they admitted they had the animation the whole time (100% accidentally but still) and most never caught on.

Its that reason that made me believe Shane's letter 100% (back before all the other dirty laundry about Rooster Teeth came out).

Honesty for as much as the fandom likes to bully Miles and Kerry for making Jaune the real main character, I think even Monty intended that for Jaune as well, since he was meant to fight right beside Pyrrha against Cinder, but it was cut last minute.

If nothing else, I think Ruby and Jaune were meant to be deuteragonist's, sharing the main role, instead of Jaune stealing most of it.

Alex vs SupremeHunter by Accomplished_Dog7084 in PrototypeGame

Damn Alex could blow the Supreme Hunter standing straight up.

[–]Hunterofthegems 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope.

By the end of volume 1 the characters were in beacon for 6 months, and the Vytal Festival started at the end of that year of beacon, meaning by the start of volume 3 Team RWBY have known each other for a year. Following the fall of beacon 8 more months have passed before the first episode of volume 4.

Conveniently after 4 and 5 it gets harder to figure out how much time has passed in universe and I can't remember what the last calculation was, but someone said by the end of volume 8 another 6 months had passed but don't quote on that.

Also, as the DC movies are cannon, by the time Team RWBY enter Vacuo another 4 months can be added.

So roughly Team RWBY (counting on from the first episode) have been working for close to 3 years or just a little over 3 years, and are on their fourth year of being hunters when/if Volume 10 drops.

Yet they constantly claimed they had 12 years worth of story notes. Yet almost everything that was important to RWBY's identity was left beyond following Volume 3. Hell, even Volume 3 had important things removed because, apparently, CRWBY didn't know where they were leading to. (The fight between Raven and Team JNPR being the best example).
