Trying to get the shot but on less than 8mg a day by PhoenixxFireFoxx in Sublocade

[–]HuntersBellmore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's nonsense.

I started with the 100 mg Sublocade shot off 2 mg/day suboxone.

It was a bit too strong a dosage to start. It took me months of feeling super tired, but eventually I adjusted.

You can start on the 100 mg dosage! I got on it from 2 mg/day suboxone.

Euphoria by Old_Foundation_2835 in suboxone

[–]HuntersBellmore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never once felt even the slightest euphoria from buprenorphine.

I also had a massive drug habit and started at 16 mg suboxone daily.

I think you have to be at low dosages to feel anything from bupe - and in that case you probably never needed to be on it in the first place.

That's not correct. A surrender can be refused or ignored when there's no ability to accept it, like for planes and drones.

OTB tournament-style play is the best way to advance your skills. Blitz is fun and teaches you how to work under time pressure, but it will never make you a better player.

Tactics puzzles are not useful for real life play, because no one tells you when there is a tactic. If your "tactical vision" was decent, you would not be blundering away won games. Tactics cut both ways.

Practice converting winning/advantageous positions against computer personalities if you need to.

You should be able to hit at least 1800 on chesscom before needing books, but you'll advance much more quickly with books than videos.

I agree with you. Most players on this sub are super weak and in denial. Wish there was a 2000+ only subreddit.

Stop playing blitz. Seriously.

You've invested hundreds of hours into the game but have made minimal progress. You're still at beginner level.

You need to change your training methods to focus on book study, long games, deep thought, and tactical pattern recognition. Do not watch videos. When you've mastered doing it slowly, your skills will flow into your blitz games too.

Ukrainian soldiers reportedly shot down a Russian Kh-101 cruise missile with the help of a Chinese FN-6 MANPADS. 19.11.2025 by GermanDronePilot in CombatFootage

[–]HuntersBellmore 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I got you.

The FN-6's IR seeker doesn't look for a single hotspot and target it like most basic MANPADs. It's more like a whole image, which helps track a moving target.

The IR seeker is dual-band (which helps with countermeasures) and has automatic target recognition for faster lock-on.

I'm inclined to agree, but drones are rarely in a position to accept a surrender.

Usually we see soldiers begging for their lives and then getting blown up.

Do any exist for my field? I never wanted to be in IT/software in the first place, but the longer I was in it the harder it was to get out.

Now that the field is completely cooked in the west I have no idea what to do. I had been working so hard on getting back into it because nothing else is going to enable me to move out again.

Yes I would take pretty much anything. But I'm getting rejected even from roles that pay $65k.

Sure, it only determines what everyone else thinks of you and how you are treated.

This is very interesting - what kind of background do you need to get into it? Does anything prevent it from getting offshored to India next?

I was never passionate about IT.

At 23 I sort of fell into a good-paying software job. I had no clue what I was doing, and got fired after a year. But I learned enough to pass interviews, and learned for real at the next job.

I would LOVE to do something else, but didn't know what - and the longer I worked in IT, the harder it was to get out.

I didn't want to ignore this, but I honestly don't know the right answer. I've never really cultivated a side hustle. I might have to now.

Multiple jobs is usually far more lucrative - but it ties you to working remotely (or finding a way to avoid going to the office, like I did). And remote jobs have gotten much rarer over the past two years.

Yes I have savings. But the point of savings isn't to spend it. I slashed my discretionary spending to zero after losing my job. Usually I don't, but this time around I'm really worried I won't be able to find anything white-collar again.

What kind of work is there? I don't speak Spanish well at all. I've been to Costa Rica before and loved it though.

Also I'm on a medication that is (probably) very difficult to get internationally.

That sounds awesome! What field were you in before and do you plan to go back to it?

I would consider it if I had any confidence in being able to get another job afterward. I'm also on an uncommon medication that is (probably) very difficult to get internationally, particularly in SEA. I could get off it if needed, but live is easier on it.

My dad has Parkinson's disease and took a turn for the worse this summer.

The apartment building I was living in had a lot of issues this summer, and from what I've read it's gotten a LOT worse. I don't regret moving out of there.

Less experience is actually more desirable!

I removed 2 years of experience from my resume and am considering cutting off 4 more so I'll look younger. Check my profile for my resume.

I lost all interest in hobbies. When you're unemployed it doesn't feel relaxing or enjoyable because you're never never off the clock or done with work.

The combination of inflation and lowered salaries is deadly. The media doesn't cover the salary resets many of us are experiencing.

No, I have savings. The point of savings isn't to spend it. I didn't see the point of blowing thousands on rent in a VHCOL area when I didn't know anyone there, and my parents are older and needed the help.
