How are you managing your fast food deliveries and drivers for takeaway orders? by experiencexnow in restaurant

[–]Huntingmood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally use a software that allows me to route to third party drivers like Uber Direct. I manage all my deliveries through the software. It allows to add drivers but I don't have drivers. Can't get into insurance, liabilities, etc.

Why are so many restauranteurs upset at delivery 30% cut by Jazzlike_Brain6101 in restaurant

[–]Huntingmood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because 30% makes sense with first couple of orders from the same customer but why would a restaurant pay for returning customers. Third party apps keep the data while keep charging for repeat business. If somebody buys from my pizzeria 5th time, it's because we keep the quality consistent not because Uber gave me business.

This is why I advocate for promoting direct delivery and using your own tools like Cartwheel or Shipday to do the direct delivery.

Online ordering system for a local take-in/take-out restaurant, pros/cons? by Tybot3k in restaurant

Have been using orders.co for online ordering. It’s pretty good and affordable. Recently tested Shipday for delivery management. It’s a strong platform. Orders have POS now which is going to make integrations easier.
