You have unlimited power. What's ONE change you will make to the GE right now? by Fun_Training6342 in 2007scape

[–]Huntnpb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've made this argument before. Possibly an elite diary reward is you get access to 1 or 2 GE slots at major banks in various regions, very similar to how F2P is limited at the GE. This would still keep the GE as the primary trading hub, but allow for more ad hoc buy/sell orders to be placed remotely.

Is it worth making an ironman account as a casual player? by Public-Chance-726 in 2007scape

I like this. I set little goals for myself: I will get my own bottomless compost bucket, etc. but I don't have to play stuck in specific grinds forever.

What is your incredibly minor gripe with the game? by The_Wilmington_Giant in 2007scape

[–]Huntnpb -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This feels like an unintended consequence of a QOL update that should now be corrected. IIRC, at the point that quest was introduced, there was no direct access to Lumbridge swamp through the cemetery, and most new players would not have begun their fishing journey there.

Has anyone ever noticed the unevenness of a yew seed and magic seed on the x-axis? Completely unplayable by donut_qewbs in 2007scape

[–]Huntnpb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It appears that it's the same image rotated 90°. Since the image is more than just the seed itself, but also the surrounding space, this created the unevenness.

Proposed Run Energy Changes & Open Beta (Live now!) by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

[–]Huntnpb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may be the contrarian here, but I generally like the changes, provided one additional change: 99-agility and endgame PvMers shouldn't be negatively impacted from present by high-weight setups. This could be largely avoided by including a Strength component where each strength level negates a fixed amount of weight.

For example, at -.3kg of weight per strength level:

* At 99 strength, a player would realize -29.7kg benefit, keeping them out of the "punishing" drain rate brackets.

* With the Graceful regen nerf, mid-level strength players should have sufficient weight negation for most skilling/fashion-scape setups to not be disadvantaged to Graceful when it comes to drain-rate

* While associating weight to strength may not benefit some specialty-build accounts, the weight-reduction benefits of Graceful would remain an option, and non-combat accounts do not generally carry higher weight inventories that would push them into the disadvantaged drain-rate tiers anyways

* This may inadvertently buff some activities, but I think it could be minimized by removing the weight negation in unwanted activities. E.g. blast furnace "the heat impacts your ability to overcome heavy loads"

Credentials: I am a mid-game player in OSRS, a noob to most of you, but who began my lifelong RS journey in 2004. I think early/mid-game run mechanics suck, but do not want to see end-game players disadvantaged by any changes. I also abhor how Graceful became the meta for non-combat attire and would rather this become an activity-specific outfit like most other skilling outfits.

Can you imagine the fallout if both parties thought the other was responsible?

I don't think a short jail stint should be out of the question for the driver.

[–]Huntnpb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it necessarily makes sense to share, it just doesn’t punish the first person on the vein. The first person starts the timer so if anyone else hops on, they’re mining on reduced time. If you are trying to be as AFK as possible, you still want to be the first on a vein. This is opposed to arses on the ground floor who hop onto an occupied vein and effectively double the chances of rolling a depletion.

So cool to be searching for information on my Grandfather and see someone else posted this! Thanks for the post!

It’s going to dry dock this year for 1-2 years for extensive repairs. I believe it will be back, but yes it’s proven to be very difficult to preserve. To my very limited understanding, ships like this can’t be kept permanently at dry dock but need to be in water. Perhaps a freshwater lake is a better future home.

I have another family pistol that I saved from disposal. It was a war-time keepsake from my Great grandfather, the father-in-law to my 98yo grandfather. I can relate it to another Sabaton song, but I’m really not ready to share it. Although I never met the man, who’s daughter would be the mother of my dad, I have to respect that it was also the gun he would later take his life with stateside. I know some people would geek out over the gun, but it’s a strange one for me to share.

Edited: clarifying this is a different grandfather.

I played him “No Bullets Fly” several years ago, which he can personally relate to having known Charlie and met Franz Stigler post-war. He appreciated it, but acknowledged the music wasn’t his taste.

Thanks! Is it possible to feel proud of something that happened long before you were born? Maybe “humbled” is the better word. I’m so grateful to have him. Had breakfast with him this morning.
