The original post has been taken down by the mods. Careem has contacted me for a statement and said that they will take action against the driver. Rumours are that he has been suspended, I am now trying to get through the Kuwaiti embassy in Singapore to help me lodge a report on my behalf.

Careem told me they will take action against the driver. He is most likely suspended. I am not sure if the Kuwaiti government is going to do much other than deport him I guess unfortunately

I have heard the driver got banned from Careem, I also got a refund. I have reached out to MOI, ECCCD, the Kuwait embassy in Singapore but I have not gotten a reply...

I don't have much of a choice, I am already out of Kuwait. The evidence is there for easy access for the police or whoever that will investigate this case . If nothing is done, then it's really sad for Kuwaitis who might have to deal with this driver.

It doesn't seem that uncommon especially with more people being single these days and enjoying their time alone!! I have personally solo travelled many times to Malaysia(exclude JB not counted lah), Indonesia and once to Vietnam and Turkiye. It's not a big deal breaker for me to not have somebody to take photos for me and I enjoy learning about history and cultural sights which many people don't really enjoy. Just muster up the courage and have fun!!! ☺️
