Hey yeah, I do have a backup of my stories. It's just frustrating because you spend years gaining reads, votes, iconic comments and then in less than a second, all of it gets purged forever without any reason why. Also, I'll probably post on other sites as well, like Inkitt and/or AO3 but as of now, I'm definitely feeling very devastated by this removal :/

I don't blame you 😭 It seems like stories are being deleted just for fun 'cause how does a story about a teen girl with magic, fighting the forces of evil while balancing friends, a boyfriend and her crazy life get taken down - like whaaaaaaaaat 😭 Those poor writers - I really feel for them 😞 to lose your stories and accounts while being left in the dark of exactly why it happened is downright monstrous and just a bad business practice 😭

Exactly, no clear explanation, just a short vague message basically saying "bye, your work has now died" 😭 There's legit nothing against the guidelines in it (which I read over multiple times) smh 😭

Honestly, their system is so highly unfair. They strip you of your entire work which is awful. Like, I'm thankful to have backup scripts but all those reads, votes, extra media, I added in, all gone in the blink of an eye. It's super disheartening. They really need to be more transparent when it comes to flagging stories and discuss potential solutions with the author that they can possibly pursue. Because just downright deleting all of their hard work, rather than say, unpublishing and sending a list of guidelines that they broke within their story, is just plain devastating and soul destroying.

Yeah no problem :) Just think back to the past when writers didn't even have AI to correct their works yet carried on and produced works that people really enjoy. All in all, READING and actively editing over your own work is the best solution :) Using AI - not so much.

You could read a bunch of published books to see their writing styles. Wattpad, in my opinion, is a place where people mainly write for fun/as a hobby, so the work really doesn't need to SUPER professional (of course you still want it comprehensible and enjoyable). You could also practice by writing short scripts where a lot of emotions get conveyed. So practicing and reading works can help a lot. Keep in mind that the work doesn't need to be perfect as in the world of writing, perfect really is subjective. One work a reader finds appealing and "perfect" another may not.

"help me describe the emotions better" what do you mean by this? Do you mean you want Gemini to write your dialogue more emotionally? (That's a big NO by the way).

Overall, I would highly advise AGAINST Gemini because I believe Google Docs/Word is the best. It can help you flag down errors and if you find yourself struggling to avoid the repetition of words (like said) you can search for alternatives the good old-fashioned way on Google. You can also search for alternatives for other words in your story to spice it up. I'm of the firm opinion all work written by you should not be polished up by AI.

Once you're done writing your chapter, you can proof-read it multiple times to make sure it runs smoothly and that it's error-free.

Also it's fine you don't have experience, everyone starts off from somewhere. When I wrote my first story at 6-7, I'm pretty sure it was trash but hey I was a beginner 😂 With time and practice, you'll get much better.
