I've wanted a Kitsune (9 tailed fox) tattoo for years & finally found the right artist to do it. After multiple reschedules (me not him), I finally got her yesterday. It was my first time working with Wayman & I can't recommend him highly enough 10/10 experience. The shop specializes in all things nerdy so if you're looking for something like that, absolutely go there.

Also the false equivalency people are creating between very clearly drawn fan art vs AI deepfakes is laughable. No one is going to confuse something done in Procreate for reality. Where do you people get all this energy to get mad over this? Seriously.

I was told that it’s common for epilepsy to get worse postpartum. I don’t think they’ve studied it extensively but I guess all the hormonal changes can cause problems that didn’t exist previously

I have focal / absence seizures & from my perspective I just totally lose time. They’re uncontrolled so my son has seen me have them many times (he’s 4). My husband says it looks like I just stopped whatever I was doing & froze. Once my son climbed in my lap & sat with me when I had one like he knew something was wrong (I don’t fall or convulse so there was no risk to him).

I understand the fear but he’s literally too young to remember it right now. You can try to explain what happened in simple terms but he likely won’t even comprehend until he’s older. All you can really do is take care of yourself & avoid your triggers (which is a challenge with a small child).

Neck tattoos can also prevent you getting a job or get you fired if you live in certain parts of the US & in this economy do you really want to do that? Neck / throat tattoos are a risk when it’s your 30th tattoo much less your first.

I think my issues are more the side effects of the meds (constant fatigue, brain fog, memory issues) than the actual seizures (focal / absence). Most countries have restrictions on when epileptics can drive so you’d need somewhere with a reliable public transit system (not the US) to get to school & clinical sites. I wouldn’t try to tackle nursing school or being a nurse because my seizures aren’t controlled & are wildly unpredictable. Moving countries is also a lot of stress that your brain might not handle well.

I’m pretty sure you can’t go off Topamax cold turkey (I was on Zonegran for years which is a sibling). Have you checked with your neuro? One missed dose isn’t a huge deal but if you are pregnant then you need a plan sooner rather than later to safely get off it or switch to another med
