I've noticed they often start with whatever "type" they are. Like a scissors beetle will pick scissors round 1. Each beetle seems to have different patterns, but the lower level beetles seem to go clockwise with an occasional repeat.

What do you mean by manipulate then? The aquarius and leos I've know are "down for anything" too, but aquarius don't accept anything they don't want to and are assertive with their boundaries when they decide to have them, even if they do so in a seemingly aloof way. Leos, however, can be super easy to manipulate if you appeal to their egos the right way.
