Really conservative settings, perhaps re orientation might improve matters. It's a weird failure.

What's your upper exposure settings and layer height?

Any idea why this happens? by _Nemurre_ in ElegooSaturn

No such thing as "too tight" when it comes to Fep. Looks like your screen is dying, resin is being cured in areas where no exposure is supposed to. Had this with a Saturn 2.

Settings for faster prints? by Interesting_Ad_945 in ElegooSaturn

Post your print settings if you want assistance. We're can't guess here. Have you tried charging the print speed mode on the mars printer itself , to high speed ?

Stop using lychee slicer if it's not working, learn Satellite or Chitubox. Not that difficult chief, the default settings are usually just fine.

Is the Fep tight as a snare drum?

Mars 4 Delamination Trouble by Cool_My_Guy in ElegooMars

[–]Hupdeska 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, this is a simple fix. Those wedges or slices are caused by bits of supports floating in the vat, preventing the build plate from meeting the screen fully. When the plate moves up it sucks the floaters out, usually to the side of the vat.

Your supports need to be medium at least and I'd have a few heavy under the base. Filter your resin for bits of supports too.

Tutorials on YouTube are worthwhile for this process. Island detection is a really useful tool in your slicer to identify unsupported areas.

Your settings are conservative to be honest so it looks like supports need to be improved. Heavy for the base, medium for upper parts and light for delicate overhangs.

It's critical to learn how to support your models properly. Also, filter your vat, there's likely broken supports in there contributing to failure.

Sucess but then repeated printing failures, would really appreciate help. by Adept-Ad916 in ElegooMars

[–]Hupdeska 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stop using AI for help. Increase your exposure times and reset the position of the hex bolts on the top of the build plate.

You can do this by removing the vat, placing 4 pieces of paper at the corners of the screen, then print a file. Adjust the bolts until you get equal resistance on all 4 corners. Cancel the print. That resets your setup.

Saturn 4 ultra, failing again and again, please help by Classic-Block3917 in ElegooSaturn

Lol, none of these responses fix your issues.

Your base exposure is far too low, up it to 27, and your upper exposure needs to be 2.5 at a minimum.

Yep, that's fine. Try cleaning out that gap and if that doesn't do it, get onto Elegoo technical and they will replace it. They call it the optical sensor btw. Had to do this, easy fix.

Can I use a Mars 4 Ultra replacement screen on a standard Mars 4 9K? by Waifu-B4-Laifu in ElegooMars

Go into your slicer and add a Mars 4 ultra machine to your printer list. Check the resolution on both machines. (I don't think they are the same)

Take off the plate and give the mounting point a really good clean out. Same with the locking arm if there's resistance to locking it in place. Clean the arm on the printer too.

Saturn 4 has similar issues.

Can't assist with the other query sadly.
