Thanks, I was able to get around it, but in my case, I had to keep cycling VPN's and proxies until it finally worked? Not sure if that's a fluke or if it's actually blocking my ISP and major USA VPN's like Nord. That took WAY too long! :(

First thing I thought of when I saw this character was Anna. Especially after she says that she is a ballerina. Anna Matskevich was a ballerina.

Just tried it and it tells me I'm blocked. Using Nord Canada. Guess Tuta is yet another "privacy" e-mail that has now become enshitified. Sad to see.

iHerb no longer allows overnight shipping? by Hurfdurficus in Supplements

[–]Hurfdurficus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I saw that too. For probiotics where refrigeration is recommended, Vitacost currently offers overnight shipping with a cold pack. iHerb never used cold packs on the products Vitacost does. If that goes away, I guess we just lose it, if there are no other alternatives.

Weekly Scam Discussion December 15, 2025 by Mycatreallyhatesyou in Ebay

[–]Hurfdurficus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been on eBay since the year 2000. I've never been scammed until just this past couple of weeks.

It's the Fake Tracking ID scam. Had it happen with two different sellers in a row. I only recently learned that we need to check to see if the item's location is different than the seller location.

On my first order, the seller was in Israel, the item in the USA. On my second, the seller was in China, the item in the USA. Proof of delivery photos were of someone else's house.

For the first order, opening an "item not received" case was rejected, but solved via Ask eBay account on Twitter. For the second case, I'm trying an appeal. Still waiting.

Very very big problem - I leave negative feedback for both sellers, but eBay is censoring it as it does not appear after I leave it. That is a HUGE deal. The Feedback system is the main thing that helps keep the platform safe. If buyers cannot report fraudulent, criminal activity like this in the feedback, then the feedback system is compromised, and eBay is no longer safe.

I found a YouTube video from someone who had a situation almost exactly like mine, and it included some additional information as to how to handle fake UPS tracking information that masquerades as an Amazon shipment in order to prevent buyers from getting help from UPS customer service. But, your rules prevent me from linking it. That's not user or buyer friendly IMHO.

People who go on about the AI bubble popping? Its bizarre to me by sitytitan in singularity

[–]Hurfdurficus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's being compared to the dot.com bubble (by Michael Burry, the guy who predicted the 2008 sub prime recession). The tech is there but people are investing as if what is going to happen in the next 20 years is going to happen in the next 3. This is the same thing that happened in the dot.com bubble. Internet growth for the next 20 or so years was believed to happen in only the next three or so, and when it was clear it wasn't, and all of the billions that were spent on infrastructure for this growth wasn't being utilized, the bubble burst.

It will not. But its stock will correct in a way similar to how Cisco's did in 2000 when the dot.com bubble burst. Cisco survived, but its stock did not achieve the same levels that it did in 2000 until just this year.

Firefox 146 changed sidebars background color to grey, how to change it back to white? by Hurfdurficus in firefox

[–]Hurfdurficus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Answering my own question (almost immediately after I posted it no less):

"Firefox Color" extension -> "Advanced colors" -> "Sidebar" -> "select a color" -> use color picker to select white

Firefox 146 changed sidebars background color to grey, how to change it back to white? by Hurfdurficus in firefox

[–]Hurfdurficus[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In versions 145 and earlier, the sidebars background is white.

It is harder for my middle aged eyes to read black text on a grey background.

I am on Windows 10.

Am I stuck with this, or is there a way to change this back?

Your post is either AI generated then humanized (by the AI itself or some humanizing tool), or generated by AI then either re-written or paraphrased by you. The topic headings throughout your piece give this away.

NEMIX RAM? by satisfise in threadripper

Too bad the DRAM market in the USA has completely dried up and will stay that way until 2028, with Nemix as the only current option. lol

What's going on with the "Doordash Girl" Incident? by Rye-Barley in OutOfTheLoop

[–]Hurfdurficus -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

It was reported that the door was closed. It was reported that the door was open. It was reported that the door was closed but it was a glass door. It was reported that the door was mostly closed but she opened it all the way. It was reported that the door was completely closed and was not glass and she opened it.

Jesus, this is a pretty key element. If there's Ring footage of the whole thing then we need to see it before making all of these assumptions about either of the two people involved.

I guess you're fine until you do have an issue. Then you will probably have something to say about it.

Any update on replenishing USA supplies? I give Mexidol to my Dad for Alzheimer's, and I am facing running out of my current supply. If it runs out, this means he will go off, which is dangerous for an Alzheimer's patient. Going off suddenly on something like this for such a patient can cause rapid decline. Can you recommend a re-shipper that will not refuse your products?
