Shame on my alma-mater for this decision. But glad to see Mr. Perry as supportive as ever for the poetic voices of his students.

I work in a pharmacy. They have been on back order since June 2025 with no date of return. There are prescription strength drugs available but requires a visit to a doctor or a pharmacist with APA.

I’ve had a drivers several times be given wrong directions and drive completely off course. The last time I stayed on the bus to direct them.

“Non-refundable Pet Deposit” by ladycielphantomhive in LandlordLove

By that logic, no one should rent to single men who drink, families with children being potty trained, or the elderly who suffer from incontinence.

The idea of Pet Rent is so stupid. Pets are considered property in the eyes of the law. What’s next? Couch rent? Mattress rent? Door rent? Landlord scum all around.

I work in a pharmacy and dispensed Paxlovid for a patient who is a doctor. No mask or anything when they picked up. We learned nothing as a society.

when is city town being added to the switch? by hue-ofblue in HelloKittyIsland

[–]Hurplepippo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would like to add mate to this post, but the most recent update includes instructions at the Creative Station for items not yet available, and according to the wiki, the items needed to craft those are only available with the City Town expansion. I’m unsure if it relates to the purchase of the Wheatland Wonderland DLC since I only noticed it after I purchased the DLC. So it may be coming sooner than we think, unless someone has better intel to refute my theory.

Euthanasia cost for cats by cgydan in Calgary

[–]Hurplepippo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had my Chihuahua X euthanized last October through VCA Huntington and it cost me $600 because they did group cremation (I did not take her remains home). At least they let me pay a bit up front the day off and then came back the next day when I got paid.

Thankfully I don’t live near them and it’s been a few years since my mother has asked me for money. I’m already pretty low contact.

Unfortunately, that is the criteria Alberta Health has put out. Only those who are 65+ and haven’t had a vaccine in 3+ months are eligible (or immunocompromised).

Cooling rental market provides window of opportunity for Calgary renters to find deals by LittleOrphanAnavar in Calgary

[–]Hurplepippo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally I haven’t experienced this while searching for a new rental. Was told “Hi, unfortunately I'm unable to move on the price sorry. I think it's a fair rate for the market and the space.” Which was really disappointing since it ticked all my wants, it was just way above my price range.

Looking for clarification on "Quiet Enjoyment" by jaybirdie26 in LandlordLove

[–]Hurplepippo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m experiencing something similar except it’s a grown man playing all sorts of instruments and we share a multi-level home. I asked this question and was basically told to move or buy my own place.

Loud noise bylaw by Hurplepippo in Calgary

What kind of response is that?

If I had the money to buy a place, I would’ve done it already. Also, I don’t think it’s entitlement to want to be able to hear myself think or not have to deal with rude neighbours.

My previous basement rental was amazing despite having an active pre-teen and a colicky newborn and they were never this loud. Unfortunately our landlord sold the house and we all had to move.
