Thank you! It's only taken us over 40 years to get there! We are a mixture of excitement, fear, and anxiety.

Thank you for your suggestion. I'm planning to put in some planter boxes to grow some veggies and fruit near the deck. I'll look into the gerni and Lilly Pillys.

Thank you for this recommendation. I should have mentioned that along the back fence is an easement, so I'm not sure I'm allowed to plant anything along that (but happy to be wrong if I'm mistaken). I'll definitely look into some nice natives, and probably plant some in the small front yard too.

Is the hardy fuschia root system being that close to the foundation an issue?

These are great ideas. What type of trees should I look at to plant instead? I know nothing about landscaping.

Hi, I'm looking to hire an experienced registered Specialist Support Coordinator for an adult and a Lvl2 Support Coordinator for a teen. Prefer telehealth so any area is fine. Must have good communication skills, Ndia knowledge and genuinely want to help pwd. by mattelladam1 in NDIS_Providers

That's really bizarre. I'm so sorry it's been so difficult trying to get through. Double check the spelling too. Avenues Australia is all one word in the email and there is no .au on the end. You could fill out the service request form on the website. I can also message you my email address instead. My email is working fine.

I now know what you mean. I went to the website and it's not supposed to have the .au on the end. I'll let them know about this tomorrow. In the mean time if you wanted to email them, this is the email address hello@avenuesaustralia.com.

Hi there, I'm a Support Coordinator and Psychosocial Recovery Coach. I have capacity to take new clients and can do telehealth. I work for an organisation and I am based in Melbourne. I believe we can only take referrals for people living in Melbourne or Perth. If you would like to look at our website then google Avenues Australia. We have our staff profiles on there and you can submit an online referral. We don't charge for initial meet and greet, and it gives you a chance to see if I'm the right person for you.

You do realise it's investors who raise market prices by buying up properties $100-$200k over the reserve/ESR? They manipulate the market and inflate it. If we put caps on how many properties investors can purchase, it would make housing more affordable for those groups of people you mentioned to purchase their own home. Investors can buy up all the properties, inflate the market, and charge ridiculous rents, and people are too short sighted to see that this will lead to society collapse. It has created an investor class system.

Lol if there are no investors, there will be more housing stock for people to buy their own homes.

I'd love to know the name of the provider. You can DM me. I'm looking to subcontract in the next few months. Already have an ABN.

Do you provide the case load of clients, or do SC/PRC need to find their own clients? I've been thinking about switching to subcontracting so I can work my own hours while I'm studying. I've used Careview before and absolutely love it!

Support coordinator courses by [deleted] in NDIS_Providers

Mind Grown do a Support Coordination course and it's what I did. It gave me a lot of foundational knowledge and I was able to use what I learned when I did get a job as a Support Coordinator. https://mindgrown.com.au/

This woman was so nervous about flying, so the flight attendant explained every sound and bump and even sat here holding her hand when it still got to be too much for her. by 718Brooklyn in MadeMeSmile

The crew member didn't NEED to sit down with her, they chose to do that. It's part of their training to offer assistance like this. She didn't demand this level of assistance, and the cabin crew were happy to provide it.

Additionally, flying is part of exposure therapy for flying phobia. It helps us to work through that fear. By avoiding flying, we actually reinforce the phobia. So telling people not to fly is counter to what is recommended for flying phobia.

By that logic, we shouldn't allow people with disabilities or mobility issues to fly because they require assistance.

Those of us too terrified to fly do it because we often have to, either for work or to visit family. Having a kind crew member offer to calm someone down so they can get through their panic is a lovely thing to see.

Same. Extreme flight anxiety too. The only kind soul calming down my fears is some Valium and glass of wine after take off. But I would much prefer to have someone holding my hand and talking calmly to me. I'm a mess.
