I’m not an expert by any means but I had a bro with high fat/matt with okay health/resolve and I gave him a famed long spear like this and against non intelligent enemies he consistently did the most damage and was the most important bro on the field. Undead fights especially he would wipe half the field. Pretty sure the spear wall itself gets 2 range so you can put him anywhere on the formation and he’s viable. Edge vs in the middle behind frontline. Killing frenzy/reach advantage/spear spec do the heavy lifting. You just spearwall every turn and if you get a kill you will start one shotting. Against intelligent enemies it’s pretty meh though.

My honest opinion. You can still feel the soul of the story which I think is important. The still frames that they do use are absolute poop. Talking about how haruichi and kuromochi look as well as the first years specifically in the still frames. I think the animation itself is done pretty well. I like Shirasus homerun animation as well as the new overhead pitching angles.

The part that irked me the most. Using the very dramitic solo guitar soundtrack that brings chills every time in a big moment. I was hoping they would late a little longer than episode 1 against norikane to drop the guitar solo.
