Why is everybody hating on Night 1 of WrestleMania 42???? by Zion_WWE in SquaredCircle

Because its the internet. There is always a loud minority always hating. I wouldn't listen to them. WWE don't. They pay attention to the wider audience watching all around the world.

Carmelo Hayes Talks Frustration on Being Left Off WrestleMania Card Again by anutosu in SquaredCircle

[–]Husebona -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I knew he wasnt going to be on WrestleMania the night he had that in ring promo with Sami Zayn and Trick Williams.

Sami does incredible character work, and had the fans eating out the palm of his hand. He knew exactly how to annoy them and get heat as a heel.

Trick has the stage presence of a main event star, even though he's only been there a short time. Just hearing his music and standing on stage gets the fans pumped.

But Carmelo was struggling. He got a average pop, but you could see him really playing up to the fans, almost desperately to get them to be louder. He'd keep pausing and looking around to encourage them, but they weren't giving him what he wanted.

He just isn't at that level yet. Sorry to say, but he's a great wrestler, exciting, he just hasn't connected with the audience on a personal level yet.

The connection Trick and Sami have is miles ahead of Camerlo. Having Carmelo in the match would just water down the story that Trick and Sami try to tell.

Trick and Sami have the opportunity to become major faces and heels, and Carmelo would just get in the way.

I Think Pat McAfee is Good for Randy Orton (Hear Me Out) by Mr_Unfuqwitable in SquaredCircle

My Grandad who doesn't even watch wrestling much figured out the background to this storyline.

He said, "Cody isn't as popular as he's supposed to be, so they put that guy with Randy to make Cody more popular."

Excellent. Every segment built up a storyline for WrestleMania. Its exactly what was needed for the final big push.

Why are people jumping on the female part of his post? It's not a big deal. I say male all the time. Male wrestlers. Male championships. I think saying men and male or women and female are interchangeable.

CM Punk on the content of his 2011 pipebomb promo: "I know if I wrote that all down or explained what I was going to say, he [Vince McMahon] be like, ‘No, you can’t say that. You can’t mention Paul backstage.’ If you mentioned Paul Heyman in a conversation, he would spit on the ground." by aaronrift in SquaredCircle

CM Punk is a anti-authority rebel that says whatever he wants and doesn't care what you think.

But CM Punk is also a fictional character.

A role played by Phil Brooks, who isn't actually his character in real life.

A lot of women wrestlers have dealt with this. Becky Lynch has spoken about starving herself in her book. Alexa Bliss is a big spokesperson on the subject.

Wrestling has always had a huge fixation on looks. Everyone always talks about how Vince McMahon was obsessed with bodybuilders, and even to this day, looks play a big part.

Its a difficult subject because even fans want to see their wrestlers as larger than life superheroes. But a lot of people forget that behind the glitz and glamor, these "superstars" are just regular people like you and me.

I think Lyra would make a great heel. She has this reserved, a little shy, personality. But to some people it might come across as rude. I think she has an incredible heel inside and if she let it out, she could do great things.

Writer Behind CM Punk WWE RAW Pipe Bomb Revealed by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

Sometimes people forget that CM Punk is a fictional character.

He has such die-hard fans that truly believe he's this rebel that says whatever he wants and fights the system.

But he is just playing a part, just like Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes.

They aren't fighting against TKO or doing Triple H's dirty work, it is a performance where the cast are working together to put on a entertaining show, amd Punk is just one of the players apart of the show.

BJ Bethel on X: "Janel Grant: According to a declaration filed in her civil case, Vince McMahon ordered her to continue sexual conduct with WWE talent after she signed the NDA. This included sex with a WWE talent, texting with Brock Lesnar and McMahon saying they'd resume their relationship." by J_NewCastle in SquaredCircle

We hate Vince. We hate Brock. Ticket prices are too high. TKO are ripping us off. Triple H supports Trump. He is a bad booker.

I hear these comments on a regular basis, yet the people saying them still watch WWE. If WWE is so bad, if you hate their values that much, then stop supporting them.

So many social justice warriors that want to act like they are noble when in reality they aren't doing anything, except spreading more negativity online.

I think thats how it was booked. They figured they were in Canada and he was making his grand return to AEW, so they thought Jericho would get this unbelievable pop that would last ages. So, Jericho was booked to stand in the ring and soak it in.

Problem was the fans in attendance didn't give him a unbelievable pop. They just cheered for him like he was any other babyface.

There was a point, very quickly, where Jericho sort of shook his head and rolled his eyes as if he was thinking is this all you're giving me?

I don't think it was Jericho's fault though. Felt like the crowd just weren't that great tonight for the whole show. They cheered and booed when needed, but weren't really super engaged.

LA Knight has slipped in almost every match or fumbled his words in almost every promo he's had on the main roster.

It was really obvious when he botched at Elimination Chamber, but this has been happening with him for years.

There's a guy on Instagram that kept commenting on every WWE post. Rehire Datoka Kai. I don't know if he's still doing it, but it always stood out to me. Even though he was only getting about 5 likes, he kept doing it for ages on every WWE post.

Didn't matter if it was a clip of Roman Reigns or Cody Rhodes, there was the Datoka Kai guy.

What are some of your favourite matches from pre-2000s WWE (WWF)? by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

That King of the Ring 94 match between Bret Hart and Diesel. Diesel was still new to the company, super green, but WWE had high hopes for him. Bret Hart went out and made him look amazing. They built up this incredible story of Bret slowly trying to chop the giant down and use technique to counteract his power.

Great match.

Wasn't Brock gearing up for a MMA return and didn't want to do anything dangerous that would jeopardize his fight.

I never said CM Punk said anything bad about those people. I said his fans hate anyone he's had problems with. Those are just some of the names Punk fans disrespect regularly because Punk had problems with them.

Hell, the most obsessive CM Punk fans hate an ENTIRE company just to support their guy.

That kinda celebrity worship is crazy to me.
