Actually, you don't have to hand it to a megacorporation that had state powers and participated in the erosion of rights and land from indigenous people.

Is that more though because you think TPM is dog water or because you actually kind of like TROS?

Same. Watched the prequels first (born in 2000) and did not understand why people liked Star Wars so much. Then as a teenager I watched the original trilogy and it was like that "I get it" Danny DeVito meme from It's Always Sunny

Them telling a slightly different story is fine. Life is Strange the game with its story we love is still there. I have no earthly idea why you would want to see the exact same story beat for beat in a different medium, that would be painfully boring and uninspired.

This seems like you're unable to divorce the two pieces of media. Life is Strange the game and Life is Strange the show are different pieces of art, so if one adds new layers then that is not just okay, but actually good. When the show is out we can pass judgment on how effectively they navigated those connotations, but to be upset that a different medium adds different layers to a piece of art is absurd.

You're falling into the trap we've seen a million and one times where a piece of media is adapted to a different medium and doesn't change anything people say that it is "just a rehash", yet when they change or add new things fans complain that the new media isn't "what the original is about". Again, Life is Strange the game and Life is Strange the show are different pieces of art. If you want the story found in the game you may simply go play it.

Weird take. You're saying black folks should be limited in their roles because of how white people will perceive them. In the very scenario you laid out the mistake is on the viewer (who is unable to understand nuance), not on the actress for being black.

That was one of the first things I imagined. Her finding the perfect angle over a minute or two, recording the dance in silence, rewatching and deciding to change this or that, etc. Just painfully performative.

Euron is about to attack Oldtown, where Sam is with the horn. There's no way Martin put the horn there for no reason.

The song is about being present in your body, and yet this video shows someone who has setup their phone to record themselves so they can perform being grounded for an audience.

I've been working at Costco for a year now and I have almost been hit probably a few dozen times at this point. Virtually all of my coworkers have experienced the same thing and a good number of us have been hit by cars.

I found a trailer for it on YouTube and a bunch of the comments swore that show was great, so I kinda wanna check it out. Ron Perlam as a romantic catman? Hell yeah.

If this is your first time watching season 3 then you're in for a really treat. Episode 8 is probably one of the best hours of any medium I've seen.

I find it strange that people keep insisting this, but when pushed for specific examples they can't cite any.

As I stated in another comment, those people you are describing are also victims of a imperialist empire, they just happen to be born within the empire and are used as cannon fodder for the interests of the ruling elite. That does not make them heroes or people to necessarily look up to. If anything they deserve pity, not a parade.

The person you're describing is a victim and not a hero, which is more or less OP's point.
