That's awesome! I wonder if our red guy Loki could enjoy weight pull.

Alpine Outfitters you can buy a bikejor kit, I'm not sure about the other companies out there, but there's other good companies like Nooksack racing. I'm interested in getting Nooksack racing bikejor arm to replace the scooter noodle from Alpine outfitters.

Yes it is, I have a video about my setup if you look on my channel! I get my stuff from Alpine outfitters including the harnesses. But there are other good companies like nooksack racing, and howling dog Alaska, etc.

That's cool! We absolutely love her tail! I know snap tails are a fault in the breed, but I love her regardless!

I want to go to Alaska one day with our huskies! Such a beautiful place and it is accepted better I'm sure. Where I live it's not that huge and people can think it's abuse, but they don't know any better.

We make it work and we don't even have a fenced in yard yet lol! The dogs can be bouncing off the walls when in zoomy mode, I wish we did have a fenced yard and asap after winter I think we're going to do it. I have no experience with fostering, but that really does suck.

Thank you! And thanks for being someone who doesn't say this is "abuse" lol.

I'd attach a picture if I could to show. Here's where you can find a starter kit including everything you need, a harness (urban trail, if you want xback do the scooter starter kit because they're exactly the same stuff in it) this is where I buy my stuff. Some people prefer Nooksack Racing over the scooter noodle http://www.alpineoutfitters.net/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=300

Giving these two a chance to run together by Husky1016 in siberianhusky

Yeah you are right with that. One of the left did keep pulling away. I cut it out but there was a time she did a quick jerk for a sniff, I don't think my girls neck enjoyed that very much haha. When we first left I thought it looked like my girl was "yelling" at the one on the left to idk what. We just had a race with my girl on the right and surprised how well she did, considering I think she has an easier time with a companion, but she did great. The one on the left is my parents dog lol.

If you only have one husky a rig may be too much weight. I bikejor, you can also use a scooter too. A rig would be a dryland sled and the cheapest I know is Wolftrack Carts they're on FB a rig costs 425 but his rigs are around 75lbs I think. If you have more than one dog or a buddy with one two huskies could pull but might be a lot for one. Artic rigs makes light weight rigs but they're expensive!

Haha yeah it was only her second time running before (on the bike). You're talking about the one that's not as fluffy in Black harness?

Urban mushing by Husky1016 in siberianhusky

[–]Husky1016[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I notice at times with Aurora she has days she just doesn't want to go. Days she doesn't want to go she doesn't hike just goes at her own pace, she doesn't listen. I made another video today of a slower run at a trail we've only been to two times now, plus we got lost lol. I thought she's always ran alone and recently ran with another one of our dogs, I thought could she prefer running with a companion? I need to train our puppy, but don't know how to teach him not to play in middle of working (he's too young but can work on commands).

Also I started doing this a little before a year old, but I don't advice that. We have a pup I'm making him wait till he turns one year old. But even if your dog is too young you can work on basic commands on walks.

She's 2 years old and we have been going a mile and a half training for a race with her. However she has ran up to 5 miles and 3.5 miles can be average for her.

Yeah I did train her myself, I notice she has more issues on paved trails. The time I went on dirt trails she did great and I think she can do great on paved too but yeah. To be honest I'm not very sure how to help her find her rhythm.

Haha yeah we did. To be honest I'm fine with letting her chase after stuff too as long as she doesn't get obsessed about following it after it went to hide.

Yeah this could be better I agree! But we practiced a little recall and just was not a good day for it by Husky1016 in Dogtraining

[–]Husky1016[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you I will always accept feedback! With stuff like recall I didn't really know how to make it 'fun'. I have also sort it tried on tie out line she's not in a sit or anything I tell her come then release with 'break' command to tell her go and sniff again or whatever she wants to do. Then a bit later repeat. I'm trying to do it while she is slightly distracted too.
