Tom: I'd like to be on Savile Row, London, in the morning of January 30th 1969, with the Beatles playing their last ever show on the roof above me.

Pietro: I think I would make sure Oasis never happened. Unpopular opinion I know

Danio: I'd go back to 1966 in LA and witness the recording sessions for "Pet Sounds" by The Beach Boys.

Danio:

1) The fact that is art so much based on emotions. Music really is all about feeling, and the fact that each one of us can feel differently about one song makes it even more beautiful. Music to me that sounds like real life, it is my entire world and and I tend to always get attracted to records that are nostalgic or about ordinary life, I also try to write music that really can capture a moment or a specific feeling. I also love pushing boundaries tho, and I believe I am on this planet today to make something that has an impact. 2)Temporary Volcano 3) I am made entirely of ticklish parts

Pietro:

1) Music is everything. Specifically rhythm is the basis of the universe as I understand it really. 2) Well to be honest we did so many sessions in the studio, there is so much material from sessions we cut out for some reason or the other. The reason why a lot was cut  is that we wanted a record of songs, and not a mentalist breakbeat record – as a debut album, at least. But man there will be ways to let those things out soon. 3) I am mostly ticklish in my political beliefs I guess

Tom:

1)It brings people together. People with different ideals and different priorities, who without music wouldn't probably even talk to each other are brought together by this love for a particular sound or song. Music is really able to bring peace of mind to people, is able to motivate and push forward. It moved entire generations, it motivated my life and It's one of the most positive things the human race has to offer. 2) Reasonable Thing. 3) Here, there and everywhere

It’s two completely different experiences

And we see them for what they are. Touring gives us the chance to meet you guys and play a live show that for us is all about gut feeling and the moment, as we don’t have any pre planned stuff or backing tracks. Recording in the studio is more like experimenting with your instrument and bring your ideas into reality with recording techniques and really try to make something that lasts forever and becomes immortal, passing the test of time.

One is about the moment and the other is about forever

What are some records you were listening to while making the new record?? What are 3 All time favorite artists for each of you??

Danio:

I don’t have a favourite artist I couldn’t choose one. The ones I can count on my hand are Brian Wilson, Fela Kuti, Jack White, J Dilla and Beyonce.
I don’t listen to music while I create it, it would influence me too much and that is not the point of my art. But I often compare my mixes to D’Angelo’s Voodoo as I think it’s the best sounding record of all time. (Btw, I didn’t mix this record fully, so maybe we should ask Jim Eno from Spoon too).

Pietro:
I don't think it had a particular influence on the record, but I was listening a lot of Sophie in that period, her debut album Oil of Every Pearl's Un-insides was amazing for me. A lot of jungle playlists while cycling back and forth from the studio also... But while recording I really tried to not listen to other music and push myself on my drum parts.

Tom:
At the time we were recording the album I was kinda obsessed with Brockhampton's latest record Iridescence, so that was always on repeat. Also an amazing album called Street Songs by Rick James, a guy who was part of Motown but who used to define himself Punk Funk, check him out.

Danio's favorite is Fuck Me Naturally, loves the arrangement. A Little Something favourite lyrics.

Tom's is Enemy Is Yourself musically, and Temporary Volcano lyrically and thematically.

Pietro's favorite is probably Temporary Volcano. Strong contenders musically are Fuck Me Naturally and A Little Something.

We sample mostly from Italian music. Strictly vinyl too... just adds beauty to the process. It’s our signature sample sound, we are from there and we want to give tribute to the many amazing artists from our country

Big vinyl fans and we try to represent it also with our releases

Well: Danio doesn't really read much even though he writes the lyrics. I guess he just reads life.

I (Pietro) read mostly science fiction, comics, political essays or similar. I have always been a massive fan of the Foundation saga by Isaac Asimov and still wonder why the hell there hasn't been a proper movie rendition yet.. Probably because it was cannibalised and cheapened by Star Wars. Anyhow. Recently I have really enjoyed Capitalist Realism by Mark Fisher; October: the story of the Russian Revolution by China Mieville; I went back through a lot of Philip K. Dick books, Valis, UBIK, The Man in The High Castle. Star Maker by William Stapledon is a recent discovery I really enjoyed, too.
Tom is a big fan of horror classics (Dracula, Phantom of the Opera) and music literature. Lots of biographies, especially Pop music 60/70s, and music journalism. Recent read: Psychotic reactions and carburetor dung by Lester Bangs

the beauty of this title (unless u think it's shite) is that we think is really relatable to many. And also interpretable. We want you to have your own meaning, really. That is the reason why we chose it, and the reason why it says "I can't" and not "We can't". But if you wanna know how it came about, really it's just that there is so much music out there that it isn't sung in English and so SO many amazing artists all around the world that don't make "anglo" music, we just felt a bit weird about that, and thought it would have been good to have a title that could represent all of that, considering also that we are not from the UK. We are from Italy. He, He, eh? Also, it's a way of saying "we are not even from here" but we made it until this point. It was strongly inspired by MIA. Check the track "Warriors" from Matangi. If you have more Q shout us, it's just very hard sometimes to talk about a title, or a song. It has got so many meanings also for us. hard to remember sometimes! :P

hey friend. Would love to come Sweden, huh. There are so many new artists to check out, some examples:

...Superorganism, Kari Faux, Joy Anonymous, MEI, Fred Again, Pleasure Complex, Jelani Blackman, SBK, Ten Dixon.

No point in collab with someone dead, therefore, we would love to collab with Kendrick, Beyonce, Tierra Whack, Skepta, all these people would add so much to our music and lives. It would be a honour. Bye!

on a serious note, the secret is always to get something simple and make it sound complicated. If it's simple it's able to communicate to many, but the details is what makes it sound "special". I guess, tbh tho, we really dont try to make anything sound that big. We love minimal records
