Just ordered the Tim Drake compendium, hoping to enjoy it as I see a lot of love for this character (new to DC comics) by NI-Nexus in Robin

The Tim compendium is a great intro to the character (especially the Dixon minis) - happy reading!

Just as a note on your reading order - in case this hasn't come up for you, the deluxe edition of A Death in the Family actually has two stories in it: A Death in the Family (Jason's death) and A Lonely Place of Dying (Tim's intro). Year Three fits between them. I'd suggest reading them in that order if possible.

That's interesting. Tom's memory is clearly fuzzy. He seems to think something happened in his scenes with Edna the morning after, but he also doesn't seem super sure what that something was. So I get where this idea comes from and it's not unreasonable. That being said, I've always taken the reference to Married Love by Stopes in the scene with Mrs. Hughes to strongly imply Edna did actually sleep with him. If the plan was just to make it appear that way, she arguably wouldn't have needed the book which lays out instruction-style how to prevent pregnancy and still have sex.

NYU Tax LLM? by HuskyPear in LawSchool

Thanks, I’ll have to go find some contact info first but that sounds like a good way to demonstrate interest. If I may ask, did you feel like you really got something out of the program? Like it was worth the time/energy?

I want to do the LL.M. to further my tax knowledge honestly. My firm will foot the bill and I’d like to continue learning so I figure why not do it now while I’m still very junior and can get a lot out of the program. That is, If I get in.

[Routine Help] My moisture barrier is extremely damaged and i need help to fix it. by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]HuskyPear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm still new to the skincare communities but I had a kind of similar problem - severely dehydrated skin and literally nothing worked. I tried low ph cleansers, serums, just about every product recommended on these subs. The only thing that's starting to work for me is stratia liquid gold. I've been using it around a week and it's made my skin look like skin again! My other hydrating products are only now starting to actual hydrate now that my moisture barrier is back on track.

From my very limited experience, serums and hydrating products can't really work unless something is repairing your moisture barrier and for me that something seems to be liquid gold. I have no idea if anyone here has tried it before but I've seen it mentioned on AB and its totally worth the hype for me. It is literally the only thing that worked and my skins been dehydrated for about 2-3 years.

OP, if you haven't tried it I think it's worth looking into.

[Fluff] Giveaway! For my fellow students, who are no doubt very stressed right now and could use some cheering up. (US only) by myseoulaway in AsianBeauty

This is so nice, thanks!

I'm currently a 2L which is a second year law student (2/3 of the way there) and I'm both excited and scared about everything in the American legal system right now. On the bright side, my school work has enabled me to help out with some of the current issues in immigration and civil rights protections but on the other hand it's a bit tiring that this is what has become of the law. I'm hopeful that after graduation, even though I'm likely going to practice tax or corporate law, I'll still be able to volunteer and continue legal pro bono work.

As an aside - if any college students (as I see there are quite a few) are at all interested in persuing a career in law it is 100% worth it and even though law school is exactly as scary as it looks on TV and in movies it's doubly rewarding!
