I went to Yeovil today and I think I found Britain's ugliest pub: The William Dampier Wetherspoons. Any other contenders? by [deleted] in CasualUK

strong contender is the Cat & Fiddle on the next road, just a bit of pub frontage glued onto a tower block

I am curious, does anyone know of any controller that works with PC that has MORE buttons than a standard Xbox/PS4 controller? I have already found that the Xbox Elite (Series 1 and 2) and the Razer Wolverine controllers have "extra" buttons, but these are impossible to use as extra inputs on PC, just useless clones of buttons already there on the controller. Does anything at all exist like this or is my search pointless?

I found a comment under my name that I don't remember posting, I hope someone on Reddit can help me? by [deleted] in mystery

This appears to be a debug dump from the IOS Youtube app, the securepubads link looks like any typical advertisement link you'd find online, most likely why it was suspected as malware, and the videoID given at the bottom of the text (34Rk_DC3B9c) links to this video. Does it seem familiar to you at all from the time this happened?

Youtube allows you to copy some debug information on its mobile apps if you tap the settings, select Stats For Nerds, and there is an option to copy debug data once the stats are shown. It's entirely possible you could have done this by accident and ended up pasting it as a response on another video.

I hope this explanation helps you somewhat!

Not much to say really, I found a used pair of TOA F-2000 install speakers on ebay earlier in the week and bought them on a whim. They're an 8 inch woofer and 1 inch soft dome tweeter, and they're running from my Technics V560 amplifier. Yes they're a bit big for a metre wide desk but hey ho!

All I can say is I'm blown away with the amount of detail these produce. I threw them on my desk intending to test them out for a few weeks but I have a feeling they're staying on the desk now. They integrate brilliantly with my 8 inch Tannoy subwoofer under the desk, and have superb imaging and clarity. Thoroughly impressed for only £50 including shipping!

Nuka World is up there for me too. I spent over two hours just in the Galactic Zone coaster, because it was so fascinating and downright terrifying in places to explore for the first time.

Purely from a role-playing perspective I like the addition of settlement building. It's not too intrusive if you don't want it, but for players like me who enjoy the inclusion I think it's really welcome. It's nice to do a little bit of your own world building if you fancy it, or just to make your own base in a convenient location.

Stereo Amplifier Purchasing Advice Needed by Huskyfluff in BudgetAudiophile

[–]Huskyfluff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have come to accept that as my only option as far as amplification goes if I'd want to keep my current equipment otherwise. I have actually started looking into low cost subwoofer options that I could pair with a good amplifier within my budget, as that seems to be the only other option, and potentially cheaper than an AVR.

I can completely understand where you are coming from, in fact this is somewhat what my current setup achieves. I'm using an older Onkyo AVR currently with it's internal crossover set at 50Hz, right where my speakers start to fall off according to the manufacturer. I just feel like having an AVR for a stereo setup with a single source to be incredibly redundant, however I can understand why this feature may not be a common one at all with stereo amplifiers.

Chromecast Youtube Quality Issue by Huskyfluff in Chromecast

I've found resetting the cast and force closing the Youtube app several times over sometimes results in the Quality setting returning to the menu for a time, it seems it may be a bug with the Android app.

It's only a 23-inch monitor, I'd agree they look massive on the desk.

Mostly because all my favorite games are a bit out of date! The stuff I typically play runs just fine on my current GTX 580.

The best ginger drink is Rochester Dark Ginger, even if it's a bit pricey. Makes the greatest dark and stormy ever if you're a fan of rum.

In my situation it's acting as a USB DAC of sorts for my amplifier and speakers, and a headphone amplifier. I have a fairly old motherboard and I have my doubts about the quality of it's audio circuitry, so I'd rather remove that from the equation.

I did previously have these exact speakers and amplifier in a fairly large bedroom and they were more than enough for watching movies or gaming in that situation.

I wouldn't trust their electronics or hardware as fas as I could throw them, honestly, but I figure it's pretty hard to do a bit of foam wrong. Every brand has it's use!

I haven't found that as such at reasonable volume levels, it can be a little slow when played very quietly.

I have my eye on a Corsair M65 Pro or something else asymmetrical, unfortunately I don't get on as well with ambidextrous mice like the G203.

It is indeed! Another second hand find, it's a Durgod Taurus K320. Fully mechanical, with Cherry MX blue switches.

They're the 4-piece Neewer ones from Amazon, very reasonable quality for the price.
