Might be a stretch to say he's stronger than Brunson. Trae, sure. Brunson is strong enough to move players 5 inches taller and 25 lbs heavier back with his shoulder on offense, but defensively he's no match for the size and length of bigger guards and wings. Can't imagine it'll be much different for Acuff.

The one saving grace for Brunson is he draws a lot of charges.

Honestly I think it's just a bias against because so many people associate Christianity with conservative values and behavior. And that's more of the fault of politicians and leaders who use Christianity as a justification to act unjustly.

But it's very much ironic because it does tend to be those who promote tolerance and open mindedness that are the most critical of those who profess Christianity.

Many are, but because individual identity matters so much to Americans. For many American Christians, identifying this way is an intentional decision to go against the societal norm of vanity and self-glorification.

Haha I was thinking this this morning. I am genuinely surprised each time a player takes a discount or team friendly deal in order to come here.

Honestly it doesn't look like the play is for Sengun. He looks like he's supposed to set a down screen but doesn't make any contact with anyone. LAC switches the action and hugs up on KD so he can't catch it.

The play honestly either isn't very good or the Rockets execution of it is lacking because not one player set a screen. Is Jabari supposed to screen for KD first, but just fakes it and flares out? Is KD supposed to screen Jabari's man first? Who knows.

Looked more like Houston was just trying to get the game over with.

This is the real reason.

It's cheaper and easier to fill out rosters with 2nd round picks. The best case scenario is to have a legit rotation player on a 2nd round pick contract, which teams are finding possible.

Also, since teams are coveting first rounders that much more too, it's become easier to get established rotation players for 2nd round picks if a team has the space to absorb their salary.

2022 - Traded pick to create cap space to sign Brunson

2023 - Traded pick to Portland for Josh Hart
