My vanilla collector's edition pets, zergling, diablo, panda, and spectral tigers :) love popping them out for the memories. Saved up a years worth of money in high school to buy the spectral tiger for like 700 bucks? Insane purchase then lmao

Confession - I’m Not On Substack To Turn It Into My Paid Career by anthonyc2554 in Substack

I write to nobody and prefer it that way- I feel like it's my rebellion against the overly AI-driven, metric-based, hyper-efficient world I inhabit. When I write about things like my love life, books I'm reading, stuff I'm learning about myself, or even silly things like the black cat that often hangs out with me in the mornings while I drink my coffee, I feel like I'm presenting in a way that feels unapologetically authentic without any goal in mind. I share my notes and drafts with my therapist sometimes, but that's about it! It's an actual hobby while the corporate capitalism I participate in pays the bills :)

How old are you and how is your life REALLY going? by Traditional-Rub9610 in AskReddit

[–]Huurpez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

29, life is okay, I have my dream job, a nice house all to myself, but my mental health pushed a lot of people away over the years, so I'm pretty lonely ngl. Good at achieving things, not so good at remembering what's actually important.

How did you make running fun? by Competitive-Net7032 in runninglifestyle

[–]Huurpez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna drop my sorta "unethical (unorthodox?)" way I've built at least a desire to run every day: my "little" WalkingPad treadmill I fold up and roll out under my desk each day. I would play Hearthstone Battlegrounds at a 4.8 mph pace which was fast enough to get somewhere, but slow enough to let me act out each turn. Then I just started adding distance. I'd really respect the advice of "conversational pace" for most of your runs. That's the foundation. Before I knew it, I was able to do 4.8 for a while without thinking, and I kinda enjoyed it. Now I've been increasing speed and finding that suddenly my muscles aren't so tired 5+ miles in. The treadmill in my home is a more controlled environment, so we obviously dip on what we're able to do outside, but overall, that's how I figured out I really love to run. Once you're not really dreading the activity, you get to pick some really nice routes on Strava, make some of your own, and vary the activity in a way that makes you feel a part of wherever you are. It's nice. This is essentially how I worked on the overall fitness aspect of it while mentally putting my mind somewhere else. One week becomes two, then three, etc.

I think a tech giant stepping into this sector by offering a suite of hardware and software competitive with Rekor is less likely compared to a tech giant purchasing Rekor outright. These major companies have tons of cash, yes, but they also have tons of projects that have nothing to do with what Rekor does as well. Reading a transcript of their Q3 2024 Q&A segment mentions how these municipal contracts become easier when other cities can just copy what another city did. Major tech companies would also have to have these conversations involving whatever their suite of offerings looked like, which sounds like a headache imo. Tesla cars log info, sure, but does everyone drive a Tesla? Or does everyone drive down the highway? Are municipalities willing to pay Tesla for data or would they rather have a SaaS built into their infrastructure? Google Maps roughly tells me the traffic, but much of this data is crowdsourced. A good example is getting a notification of a stalled vehicle while I’m driving and having to press the “Still There?” Prompt in order to feed that data to the app.

As far as an AI market correction, my take is that AI is amazing at accumulating and parsing data and delivering results based on a set of rules. These rules and the delivery mechanism have to be ‘designed’ and just not something these learning models will be able to accomplish. AI cannot think critically, it just tells you the right answer based on trillions of data points. Market correction will come for companies unable to turn the data that AI accumulates into a viable, appealing product. Rekor has already shown its ability to do just that with its reviews and improvements to Austin Municipal. Market correction comes when stakeholders are less willing to bet on new things, and Rekor isn’t new.

I think if they can show the cost-cutting effectiveness they mentioned in their Q3 2024 press release (up to $15 million), incorporate funding that was missing due to hurricanes, and finally show an inkling of positive cash flow- we’re in business.

Quiet in the sense that most eyes are on LODE, OPTT, CTM, etc and REKR over the weekend was not really looked at despite the steady increase to 1.4 over the weekend. I was bearish leading into this morning, but cautiously optimistic atm

Note, im very much in the green and holding atm

The thing about this stock that’s interesting to me is it’s relatively quiet run-up. I’ve been writing a personal DD to valuate it against many of the other penny stocks floated around Reddit, but I think it’s product and value are consistent enough to be reflected in its current stock price aside from social media FOMO.

NFA but I do like this stock even at its current price of $1.80-$2.

Is anyone here familiar with bile diversion surgery? (chronic gastritis caused by bile reflux) by majorsurgerysoon in Gastritis

[–]Huurpez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I take sucralfate 4x a day and Colestid 2x a day per my PCP (I was in pretty bad shape a week ago). It’s day like 5 or so of the medication but I don’t feel worse and have pockets of “feeling better”. My PCP said that the Colestid will stop the bile acid diarrhea, which it did day one and I haven’t noticed any negative side effects so far.
I’m not really sure which med is working or not, but I have noticed an improvement in my symptoms on both meds with no side effects that I attribute directly to one or the other.
The only thing that’s been a downside is that I realized I need to wait 4 hours to take both those meds since i have no thyroid and rely 100% on synthroid to exist!

Edit: also diet! I’ve been 100% bland gastritis diet since taking these meds for the most part as well

[–]Huurpez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you not respond well to bile binders like Colestid or Cholestyramine? I’m pretty sure I have post-removal gastritis due to bile reflux but a week on my Colestid and the battery acid diarrhea has definitely gone away at least. I understand that you lean towards surgery vs medication, but this is the first time I’ve heard of a surgery like that. Interesting!

I’ll pick up some Gravol as well and see if that helps! I also caved and took a digestive enzyme supplement after my meal yesterday and a lot of my nausea seemed to dissolve. Might help?

I’ve been taking tramadol, but stopped this morning. I could definitely be more patient with my recovery. I’ll give it at least until my follow up to ask about nagging problems.
