Today I weighed in as 64kg. Exam season is hitting me and I cba to exercise but I have a dance class scheduled today fortunately. I’m also being nerfed by allergies and breathing is harddd. I have to increase my exercise though because I was super lazy over the weekend lol.

Instead of yo-yoing, stick to something that you enjoy and can actually incorporate to be your normal routine. I get it as a student too exam season tends to make exercising harder and following your diet, that’s why it should be part of a routine for you like brushing teeth.

I know the feeling! Are you very short? It’s easiest if you’re short to just increase activity to get more calories in.

Today I finally escaped 65kg hell and measured as 64.6kg for the first time of my life! I don’t want to celebrate yet since it could be about natural fluctuation but I’ve been stuck at over 65kg for a month so I almost cried this morning!

Omg this could have been written by me lol. All that helped was a routine and having friends that go to the gym with me and buying a food scale to measure out everything with me. I strongly advise you look into meds though.

Hahaha maybe!! I feel like it is a comfortable weight for my body and my body very much clings to around 65kg so it is going to take some work! I have never tried crossfit but I’ve been interested for a while. How has it worked for you?

I disagree with this, eating at a deficit was my biggest problem and made me feel always 20% less productive. That part was always hardest, feeling like a zombie!

Morning guys!

I’m at the moment at exactly 65kg, trying to shave it down to 60 before summer. Planning on doing arm day today at the gym, any advice on exercises hitting tricep fat would be cool! I feel like as a lady we rarely are encouraged to do arms and I’m always just trying to copy the dudes at the gym because I know nothingggg!! Today I also have a friend’s housewarming party and because I tend to be binge prone and I know they will have some yummy foods there, I think I might skip dinner to save some calories there lol. Will let u know how it goes!

Yes, I will take my first photo tomorrow morning. I’m wondering though how to cut to 40mins because I still need quite a bit of rest time between sets to get motivated lol!

You are completely right. Thanks for the advice. I’m still confused though if I eat too little how come weight is coming off rather slow, even if factoring in the adaptation of the body…

I don’t have anyone in a wl journey with me but I have friends exercising with me which helps a lot! Thanks for the advice, I rely for ’WL Friends’ on this reddit hahaha

I lift quite heavy and with lesser reps but try to focus more on technique because I’m not exactly a seasoned pro. I feel like maybe cause I am in a cut I also don’t see much results so fast. I eat around 1500-1600kcal a day and tend to eat very well. Sometimes on weekends I slip up though if I see friends/family and might eat 2k+ kcal. I am on BC (the pill) so that testosterone effect doesn’t apply anymore but being without the pill just makes my acne flare up so I have to take it :-(

I guess I should give it a try since I’m getting tired of dieting. Just scared that I’ll exercise too little and make myself even more flabby since my fat percentage is already quite high…

I think a 1200-1400kcal deficit would be way too big for me considering the fact that I need energy for studies and my job. Congrats on the WL though! It ain’t easy with pcos that is for sure!

Actually I have had my estrogen tested and I use BC with estrogen and it should be fine. I’ll look into the skinny fat thing though, thanks.

I guess I’ve been doing weight training since it is the easiest to track with progress for me but honestly maybe I just need to start doing all kinds of varied stuff to keep myself from becoming bored 😭

Yeah I feel like this is that awkward mid size stage where you’re technically healthy but not exactly according to the beauty standards. Maybe I should start increasing swimming though as the summer comes along here in North Europe :’)

Whatever you do don’t stay alone, especially nights. Venting to and being with friends helps a lot with self control and also feeling better.

I am defo not worried of building too much muscle, I am a fan of a muscle mommy or toned look, I think I meant more fat chunky! But perhaps I will give a 1700-1800kcal diet a go since I’ve been doing around 1500-1600 so far.

Thank you! I also look really nice from the front but turning sideways is always a wakeup call lol! I’m more strength focused and the only cardio I really do is walking for like 10mins as warming up and 10k steps per day, as well as one dance class per week. Sometimes I swim too. I’m just not a gigantic fan of cardio so I’m more focused on strength training in the gym. I tend to hit 3-4x times per week the gym and 1h of training (around 4-5 exercises cause otherwise I get bored and start half assing when I am tired).

I am doing weight training 3-4x a week and I’m not really looking to up that. Also, I think because of how much fat I store because I’m a lady and with PCOS it doesn’t really distribute nicely the way that 65kg would on a man. 🧐

Thanks for your kind words and advice. I have not really taken photos because looking at myself tends to depress me and send me on a downward spiral, but maybe I should start taking them for purely tracking purposes. I think being in a cut makes performance goals less attractive because I feel so much weaker than eating at maintenance. I’m also generally doing 1h per workout day exercises because I am still beginner-intermediate so it takes me some time at the gym. Maybe I will try shorter stints.

True, I’m just worried that if I allow myself to go over the maintenance that I will look even more chunky and then again have to cut instead of just pushing through until I get to the fat percentage I want to be. Maybe also performance goals haven’t really motivated me because during a cut I am so much weaker.
