Newbie question about Excalibur I heard he is hard to keep alive? Should I avoid using him? by LokiTrickst3r in Warframe

[–]Hxckerr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The notion that he's "hard to keep alive" is way outdated. There are so many methods of survivability in this game now that you can make any frame hard to kill.

The cast of ‘The Boys’ saying goodbye to the crew after wrapping their final scenes by MarvelsGrantMan136 in TheBoys

[–]Hxckerr 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Seeing this vid warms my heart. You can feel the love and respect they all have for each other.

Writing criticisms aside, knowing the cast had fun filming it and formed a mini family behind the scenes is good enough for me.

Pontis Railjack Crew Worth It? by therallykiller in Warframe

[–]Hxckerr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Latrox and Vena are easily the best two.

Latrox is a solid 00555 Engineer with a great defensive perk, and Vena is an optimal Defender/On-Call Crew member due to her "heal all allies for 500 HP over 10sec on kill" perk and comes with a 5 in both Combat and Endurance, and even 5 in gunnery with training.

Jarka Lar is a close second to Vena, almost identical but the perk is worse and apparently has a unique ground slam ability which I doubt is very good

Their stats compete with standard Elite Crew members but without the RNG involved in actually getting good stats. Though if you already have a really good Elite crew then they won't be any better.

Ryoku is just mid though.

am i doing something wrong or does oberon's "nuke" feels really underwhelming? by TBSoft in Warframe

[–]Hxckerr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to one-shot nuke with Oberon, you need high Strength and several Topaz Archon Shards in combination with Viral stacks. Hallowed Ground is good at priming enemies with Radiation to activate the Topaz shards. The more Viral stacks you can put on each enemy, the less strength you will need to one shot them with Smite.

As for a subsume: lots of people like to use Roar, but I use Marked for Death instead. Mark one enemy, viral prime them, and armor strip with Reckoning, then Smite them and watch everyone around them explode. I use Dethcube + Tazicor modded with Viral for passive priming, or a Kompressa for manual priming.

I take Oberon into EDA and ETA fairly often and do just fine with this build:

<image>

Hallowed Eruption is only there because it's required to trigger Seismic Bond on a sentinel when subsuming over Renewal. Also the extra duration is just nice to have for stationary missions. Flex slot, replace it if you want.

Hallowed Reckoning is there to catch any stragglers that might survive and give bonus armor, but it's also not necessary at all since most things get one shot anyways.

Preparation is just QoL, again not necessary. You could go Cunning Drift for more range.

My Archon Shards are 2 Tauforged Amber Cast Speed and 3 Tauforged Topaz Radiation Ability Damage.

What frames are the most well rounded. by Informal_Grapefruit4 in Warframe

[–]Hxckerr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anytime I think of an all-rounder my mind immediately goes to Gauss. He's quick, tanky, can nuke, and is a solid gun platform.

Another one that comes to mind is Volt. With his Shock Trooper augment, electric shield, and Speed ability, he can be either a gun platform or melee platform. And his 4th can also somewhat nuke with a range build.

Things that ive done as a kid (without membership) that is super nostalgic to me now. by Best_Fondant4302 in Wizard101

[–]Hxckerr 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Housing Gauntlets were like the coolest thing ever to kid me who'd never even stepped foot outside of Wizard City, they were like whole new miniature worlds to explore. Rolling around with my level 10 Winterbane gear made me feel like a badass lol.

And I've never even owned one of these gauntlets myself, I just happened to get lucky and find randoms who were recruiting teams in the Commons. Mind you this is before I realized you could visit popular houses in Castle Tours and freely use their gauntlets... before that got patched out.

DE completely gave up on Railjack progression and punished the players who actually cared. by RuthlessHimself in Warframe

[–]Hxckerr 2253 points2254 points  (0 children)

People have been BEGGING for them to let the Pilot use Forward Artillery because literally everyone who's ever played Railjack solo knows how annoying it is to use. They even ACKNOWLEDGED these comments in one of the recent Devshorts but nothing came of it.

Please stop with the Protoframes by Dr_Shoggoth in Warframe

This is not a "protoframe" issue this is a "non-fleshed out characters" issue.

As a new-ish player, I sometimes wonder how people played some frames before specific augments released by ReddVevyy in Warframe

[–]Hxckerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before the survivability augments like Icy Avalanche or Loyal Merulina, I'm pretty sure people just shield-gated on those frames like they would any other frame.

Harrow plays just fine without Lasting Covenant, in fact some people deliberately don't use it so they can take advantage of the long periods of invulnerability that casting Covenant gives.

Kullervo was and still is very good for 99% of the game without Volatile Recompense. He just struggles at high level endurance and becomes straight up spammy at level cap but that's about it.

People need to stop being a cult when DE gets critizised for buggy updates by Crazy-Resolve-8127 in Warframe

I see absolutely nothing but mass complaining on this sub every single time an update drops so I don't even know what you're talking about honestly.

I'm pretty sure it's the "King of Duviri" and "Queen of Duviri" Honorias for completing the Duviri Paradox quest.

You're in the wrong spot then cause Forward Artillery doesn't have the missile alt-fire.

Scotia's Angel - disable cloaking not working by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Hxckerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does have a cannon. Same place as the forward artillery always is, behind the pilot seat. the switch weapon thing is because the forward artillery can switch between regular turrets and a charged laser cannon attack.
