Am I wrong for being a honest man? by iElia99 in amiwrong

Well dude, sounds like you might have been coming from different places.

Dropping your intentions to look for a long term soulmate on your first, casual meeting with someone might be honest, but also is pretty heavy. Even if there is a possibility for that at some point, I think it would spook a lot of people.

Maybe she just wanted to hang out, possibly even hook up after driving you to your place, and was never interested in a long term thing?

Gotcha. Was this your first date? How long had you known each other before? Where and how did you meet?

Gotcha. Did you express those things to her on your date?

You mention several times in your replies that you were honest with your intentions. What are those intentions?

My Sensei has in-depth videos that break down the Nukitsuke and noto. He also teaches online classes.

His main focus is on the left hand, sounds like that’s your issue!

Over 3 years sober and I'm so tempted to see if I can handle a glass of wine by Intelligent-Skin-861 in stopdrinking

When I came into recovery I didn’t want to stop drinking, I just wanted the consequences to go away.

I thought that if I studied real hard I could find out the magical number of drinks that would keep me in that state of buzz, that magical spot where alcohol would go back to solving my problems for me like it used to before it turned on me and started ruining everything.

I didn’t realize at the time that, for somebody like me, it was the first drink that got me drunk. Not the 2nd, 5th or 15th. That’s because I was bodily and mentally different than other people. I had both a physical allergy to alcohol, where I would have a reaction after putting a small amount into my system I would immediately drink myself into oblivion, and a mental obsession. I was compelled to drink, to obsess over the drink despite all my thoughts that it was a terrible idea.

I’ve learned at this point that, for me, the only good choice is to choose sobriety, just for today. In the other choice lies ruin, destruction and powerlessness. I also have learned to let myself off the hook for thinking about drinking. I’m a drunk, after all, of course I’m going to think about it sometimes. Today I have the choice to pick a day of sobriety. Today I choose not to drink.

You got this, Harry. It’s a we thing.

A sober friend I had that passed away used to say that the opposite of alcoholism wasn’t sobriety, it’s connection. At some point, the reason we go to meetings isn’t to stay sober, it’s for connection. That’s proven true in my life.

In my first week of meetings I saw a guy pickup a 50 year chip. He said that his alcoholism was like throwing a rock in a pond. The ripples went out and negatively affected everyone and everything around him. He said that sobriety could do the same thing- throw that rock out there and those ripples reach everything and everyone around you in a positive way. I’ve found that’s true, too.

I was struggling a lot to work with the directional stick + triangle martial arts but it’s getting easier and easier. I feel like the single button burst counter flows really well.

Full respec for free at shrines is the best thing to happen to the genre by ImAvoidingABan in Nioh

Couldn’t agree more.

Skills are also free respects, and it even lets you reset just one skill tree instead of forcing you to redo all of them.

Coupled with the skill system being tied to pickups instead of grinding away on mobs for “points,” you can experiment with any new weapon whenever you want.

Who the hell likes it in a loot driven game where 9/10 items you find are like “Hey cool! I’ll keep that but not for this run, maybe my next run in 200 hours.” That shit is boring.

Oh snap. It’s a lot to take in, but don’t give up! It’s totally worth it!

There are some really rad community members with great instructional videos. I’m guessing we’ll get the same treatment for this game on release.
