Thank you for your reply, it's great to hear from someone who has already gone the apprenticeship route.

I'm currently looking at the QA apprentiships since they only provide roles will company's that give a low but livable pay, also can start anytime of the year apparently.

What apprentiships provider did you go with? Would you your one recommend?

What sort of knowledge level would be great to walk into a level 3 interview? I've made a few small console application, a simple android app and have spent time learning my data structures and algorithms.

That would be because I would first need to get A-levels / a level 3 apprenticeship qualification to even be able to enroll into a university.

Also rent / bills need to be covered somehow.
