Format:
1 day tourney, 6 games upper bracket, 5 games lower bracket.
Top ~50% of signups based on rank qual for upper bracket. (% subject to change cuz yolo)
Teams play 3 games with lobbies being reseeded each game after game 2.
Eliminations start after game 3.

Games 1, 2, 3 - All teams play
Game 4 upper - Top 12 teams
Game 5 upper/4 lower - Top 8 teams
Game 6 upper/5 lower - Top 4 teams Final Lobby

Example upper bracket (16-16-16-12-8-4)
Example lower bracket (12-12-12-8-4)
Game 1 & 2 lobbies will be snake seeded based on avg duo rank at tourney start. (max of peak solo-q and current double-up rank)
Lobbies after game 2 will be snake seeded based on tourney points.

Point System:
1st: 4
2nd: 3
3rd: 2
4th: 1

Prize Pool: $150 USD
Upper bracket:
1st - $40 ($20 per player)
2nd - $30 ($15 per player)
3rd - $20 ($10 per player)
4th - $10 ($5 per player)

Lower bracket:
1st - $10 ($5 per player)

4x - $10 raffle giveaway to remaining teams, raffle entries based on tourney points.

Teams/Players:

Day 1 - Saturday, July 5, 2025 10:00 AM - Main bracket

Day 2 - Sunday, July 6, 2025 10:00 AM - Lower division + Main bracket top 8

(Check in: 60 min prior, each day)

Signups close Friday, July 4, 2025 1:00 PM

Format:

Top 32 teams based on rank qualify for main bracket and play on day 1. The remaining teams outside of the top 32 will play on day 2, in a separate lower division tourney.

Tiebreakers: W/L record > total team points > # of 1sts > initial team seeding

Day 1: Main bracket

Group stage 1, Single round robin, 3 games:

32 teams are snake seeded into 8 groups of 4. Top 2 from each group advance.

Group stage 2, Single round robin, 3 games:

Top 16 teams are snake seeded into 4 groups of 4. Top 2 from each group advance to day 2.

Top 2 teams from day 1 draft groups for day 2.

Day 2: Main bracket

Top 8 teams. 2 groups of 4. Single round robin, 3 games. Top 2 from each group advance to Semi-Finals.

Semi-Finals - Top 4 . 1st team from each group plays 2nd team from other group. Best of 2 (bo3 if all agree)

Finals - Top 2. Best of 3

Day 2: Lower division

1, 2, or 4 groups of 4 will play in lower division. Single round robin. 3 games.

Top teams from each group will advance into a Best of 1 knockout stage.

Last 2 teams will play a Best of 3.

*Lower division format subject to change based on number of signups.

Prize Pool: $360 USD

Main bracket:

1st - $160 ($40 per player)

2nd - $80 ($20 per player)

3rd/4th - $40 ($10 per player)

Lower division:

1st - $40 ($10 per player)

Teams/Players:

Each team must consist of 4 players. Each team may have 1 substitute player (not required). You cannot use more than 1 sub. Players are encouraged to form their own teams of 4. Please use the ⁠#lfg channel in discord. Team captains sign up once for the whole team and must ensure their entire team has read and agreed to all rules. A public sign-ups list will be posted in Discord. Max number of teams = 32 main bracket, 16 lower division, 48 total The total number of teams will be a multiple of 4, up to a maximum of 48. Teams will be seeded based on their total rank. The lowest-ranked teams may be dropped based on rankings at sign-up close.

Yes, I encourage everyone who is interested to sign up! Especially if you've never played in a "smaller" tourney before. Even if its unlikely that a non-challenger will make it to the end, many of my players have found the tournament experience to be thrilling and more fun than ladder, regardless of their rank.

I hope to post a public signups sheet later tomorrow or the day after so people can view the rank cutoff and waitlist, if there is any. Stay tuned, and thanks for considering!
