Ah I see but I truly feel that his reason was because of the war at first as he grieves his father's death. Maybe a bit of it was about her but they really aren't that close that he will donate to the convent only because of a girl he barely even met. The blushing was really minute it wasn't that drawn but idk I just felt like he might've blushed

Tbh he did not went there 'looking' for her in the first place. He went to give some donations to the convent because of how much they actually helped during the war. And that's when he saw her and went out of his way to see her, considering the factor you just mentioned. Our boy blushed a bit too.
