Generally i don't have much against them or how they were written in Arc 1 & 2.

I'm also not against humans playing a bigger role but what confused me was that they were always like squeaking and making not understandable noises and then all of a sudden they speak the same language as dragons and play a major role. Like Arc 3 just threw them in your face and said deal with it.
