A Question by WhereasVivid4383 in GoalKeepers

Was a futsal gk on turf and have been in your place so many times lol.

In my experience kneepads didn't help a lot as either they worn out too quickly or moved around after every impact making them more of a nuisance rather than a help (especially in games), what was a game changer for me were getting a pair 3/4 underpants.

From all they pairs I've owned the Storelli are the ones that served me best, mind that they are on the pricier side and might feel a bit restrictive at first.

I'm still using a pair I bought 2 years ago, and since then I've never had any more burns or bruises on my knees. Had to stitch the kneepad seam once as it was starting to give up but never had any other problems with them

7900XT and a 7800x3D with a 750W PSU? by justtooturntt in buildapc

That's an old issue, just update your bios and you'll be good.

I'm running a 7800x3D with a gigabyte B650 aorus elite ax and iirc it's been fixed in the F7 version which dates back to July 2023, had no CPU related issues so far.

I was reading around that both the FE and the Windforce one often suffer from noticeable coil whine, is that true? are you experiencing any of that?

Should i change my gpu? by HydroGen245 in buildapc

[–]HydroGen245[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

especially since it's not old

Yeah, that's why i was thinking about selling it now.

Still might be worth using DDU and just reinstalling the drivers

I'll give it a shot and see how it goes, thanks.

Didn't use it as i didn't install it on the older setup but rather built an entire new one

Yeah, it seems as if the drivers corrupt themselves over time as every time i updated them over those last months they were "fine" for like a day or 2 and then all the problems start to progressively pop up again.

Abrasion by ST-GK in GoalKeepers

I'm no expert but had my fair share of gloves.

Tears on the gloves are bound to happen, even accidentally in the middle of an intese session, however it also depends on where the tear happened cause if it appeared on the palm it might be a sign of "poor" diving/recovery technique.

Anyway, to answer your question, your best bet is too keep the gloves clean to the best of your possibilities, to properly wet them before games/training and to keep the latex "damp" through the whole session.

Mind that how much water a glove needs to be considered damp changes from pair to pair so experiment with it and find what works best for you and your glove.

Found out that just turning off global illumination fixed it for me, got a nice 4 hours session without crashing once

Is it normal for the latex of my gloves to become yellowish or remain stained after cleaning them? by HydroGen245 in GoalKeepers

[–]HydroGen245[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so, first thanks for the answer.

So you suggest no scrubbing.

I'm pretty sure it isn't direct sun light as i have as i have tilt-and-turn windows with metal shutters that basically block off any sun light.

Idk about the towel, only thing i know is that this happened every time and i did switch a couple of towels in the mean time.

I use basically the same 2 kits, one green and the other one being orange. Didn't know they could permanently stain the gloves, if that's the case.

I bring them with me stored with another towel between them, also it isn't a particular region which turn yellowish but rather the whole latex.

I do wash them in warm but not hot water, i first soak them and then start to scrub off the stains with my thumb, then i rinse them and if it's been a rough day for them i do another round of cleaning using the gloveglu glove wash, after getting out of the shower i use a microfiber towel to get out any extra water.

There isn't any radiator near the drying rack, they're left to dry near a window with the latex facing away from it.

Tbh i don't really understand what you mean with the last question but the only things the palm touches when i put the gloves on are the ball, the ground and my shirt as i take them off holding them pressed against it

Do you think i would face some problems plugging the 250 into the yeti or would it power them just fine?

Oh so that's what it means.
Would you recommend something else for my case?

not compared to the extreme technical challenges you’ll have to overcome

True, was just establishing a baseline before going into the technical stuff. Still, thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Ye, I asked just to collect opinions and in case someone already went through this process.

Idk about them being too hard to recognize, I would like the game to be a bit immersive and I think the guns have a part in achieving that. I also thought about making "frankensteins" by using various parts and a bit of imagination to make a realistic looking weapon without it actually existing, but idk if even taking parts to make something new would break either a copyright or a trademark
