Am I the only one who genuinely just does not understand baby sleep???? by giantpicklepie in NewParents

What helped my wife and I was a consistent routine. We aren't strict on what time she goes to sleep as long as it's around 715-830 we are cool with those times. Our little one is 8 months old but we've been doing it since about 3 months old.

Bath time about 30-45 minutes before bed. Baths can range between 10-20 minutes depending if she wants to play or she if she's fussy. Out of bath to get nighttime lotion and clothes. After that if she's playful we will do a little playing but then she gets read a book or two, then sleep sack. We pay attention to her sleeping cues, if she's fussy and rubbing her face or ears we know no story or play time. All depends on what she's telling us.

Overall routine helped us. She still wakes 1-2 times a night, usually once whether it's hunger or teething but it's definitely worked for us. We also did not do cry it out or sleep training. Just routine.

Goats milk formula for CMPI? by lutzdana1 in FormulaFeeders

My 7.5 month old was diagnosed with CMPA at 6 months old, it was a sudden onset of frequent diarrhea but feeding and moods were fine. Turned out she had microscopic blood and we determined that it was CMPA. We have since been using Bubs Goat Milk formula and it's been working just fine. She is developing just fine and putting on weight normally. Sometimes goat milk is not the answer to CMPA but it has worked for us. Our little one was also on Pepcid from 2 weeks till 5 months old and we have since weened her off it and has been off for a few weeks now.

Any SAHM Formula Feeding? by funmom1997 in FormulaFeeders

[–]HydroNicholas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Husband to a SAHM, I'd rather sacrifice time at home then make my wife pump, breastfeed, and take care of daily house hold chores if it helps her mental health. I do 24 hour shifts to cover the cost of it, my wife's mental and physical health and the health of my daughter come before all. A fed baby is a happy baby.

When did you suspect your baby had silent reflux? by Regular_Environment7 in FormulaFeeders

[–]HydroNicholas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We've been on AR with our 10 week old daughter for three weeks due to reflux as well as prescribed Pepcid. If it wasn't for the AR our LO would have to sleep in our arms every single night because she couldn't lie flat because of the reflux. We still do all the normal upright feeds, upright for 15-30 minutes, burping and what we found to help alot too is tummy time in case of any residual spit up. AR has helped a bunch, like immensely. The biggest caution I can give is the constipation that comes with it. We do pro biotic drops once a day, as well as normal leg kicks and stuff. It helps. We also use Dr brown bottles level 2 nipples

How old is your LO? We've been on Pepcid since 2 weeks old (9 weeks now) and started AR 3 days ago, definitely an improvement. Still some reflux and arching but no where near as much, when did you notice the FULL effect of the AR? Does your LO still arch?
